I'm in the market for a DSLR and just noticed an ad for the Sony A700 that says that the camera will take all 15 million Minolta Maxxum lenses made from 1985 on. Are this lenses in any quality comparison to what a similar lens for a a D300 or 40D would take?

A friend has just come home to Ireland from the Bahamas and he accidentally formatted the card in his camera. I often use PC Inspector to recover deleted images but it won't help here. Does anybody know of a recovery programme that will recover images from a formatted card?

Hi all, I have bought a 30D and installed all drivers & software. But my PC does not recognise it, it does not see the Canon. Should I be able to USB link it to any PC and have it recognised as an external hard drive or am I mistaken.
