build, where someone found a way to apply 3V to the USB's normal 5V cable pins

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this. Just got camera on Friday
and I can't get the data & time to stay set. I have followed
instructions and also replaced CR1220 battery. Date and time set but
once camera is turned off then on again it is asking me to set date

I just returned from 3 weeks in Europe and Africa.
An informal impression is that Nikon dSLRs significantly outnumbered Canon
dSLRs on those of us touristos schlepping these heavy beasties. That really
surprised me as my impression has been that Canon outsells Nikon.

i have a fuiji finpix camera. my wire for transfering pictures to a pc
does not work anymore (usb).i am trying an adapter on my firewire so

I like to hear from those who have actually purchased a grey market product
and their experiences.  Specifically I'm looking at the new Canon 40d.
Several sellers on the internet have that camera about 1/2 price, stand
alone.  Can you actually buy one with a US warrenty all in ...
