"False" color using DCRAW??20 Sep 2007 18:17 GMT4
I shooted many picture with my Nikon D50 in raw format.
I elaborated these with some software and in particular with dcraw
(that i suggest to you). But I have a problem. The output colors
produced by dcraw are different if I use the flag "-e" (to make a
Settled on D40x, now what?20 Sep 2007 17:53 GMT4
Warning - long message follows.
Background: my "current" camera is a Sony Mavica FD-91. It has done
well but it's long overdue for replacement. Thus, I don't have any
lenses lying around. I use the camera mostly for vacation photos
any comment about Canon PowerShot A650IS20 Sep 2007 14:09 GMT1
The A650, though, is a major reboot for the series. Improvements from
the A640: 12MP; image stabilization; a 6x lens that's much improved
from any previous A series glass; a higher resolution LCD that's the
same size as the old A640 but produces much better quality images

the camera, its settings, the date etc sent with it!  How do I strip this

them seem to be able to do this.
Need Camera Advice For Event20 Sep 2007 00:03 GMT8
I plan to travel out-of-state to an event that will have lots of
outdoor exhibits, and I will also travel through a lot of scenic
areas. I already use a Canon 20D, and I have a 20 mm singlet and 2
zoom lenses (one out to 300 mm), but I want to do a little more. I
Why isn't there much talk on the Olympus EVOLT E-51019 Sep 2007 22:07 GMT50
When researching DSLR's recently the one that impressed me the most for
image quality and price was the Olympus EVOLT E-510. I don't see it getting
much love in here though. Why is that?
Canon 40d Question19 Sep 2007 17:17 GMT3
I've just purchased a Canon 40d digital camera in the US and am having
it sent to me in Iran. I am wondering if anyone has the new camera yet
and can recommend a holster type tight-fitting case. I won't be able
to test the case before it is sent to me from the US.

Canon Flash on a Nikon D40, is it possible?19 Sep 2007 05:40 GMT1
A friend has been using a Canon G-5 for quite a while but just bought a Nikon
D40. He has a Canon 430EX Flash unit and ask if it could be used on the
Nikon. I told him I thought the connections on shoe were different and
perhaps some electrical differences.
FireWire card reader for SD memory?19 Sep 2007 04:27 GMT15
Am I missing something? I have searched for the last hour and can't
find an SD card reader that works via FireWWire. Plenty of cheap USB
card readers that handle SD, a few high-quality FireWire readers for
Compact Flash cards, but not the combination I'm looking for. I have
