Flickr: difference between "most relevant" and "most interesting"26 Sep 2007 23:38 GMT7
I'm starting using Flickr. I notice that in the search engine, photos

interesting".
Which is the difference? In which way they are calculated?
Epson Stylus Photo 750 -  Color Calibration26 Sep 2007 19:11 GMT4
Can anyone provide me with a link to download the ICC Profile (if one
exists) for the Epson Stylus Photo 750 printer?
I know it's a long-discontinued model, but I'm hoping that an ICC
profile exists for it, so that I can calibrate my monitor to match my

The Killers On Stage at the V Festival 2007
After two massive albums and near constant airplay on Virgin Radio,

I have a Nikon CoolPix 8700 that I love.
I'm trying to understand some of the bells & whistles that come with
it.
The manual is not very user friendly.

I need a recommendation for software that can create thumbnail images
for jpegs in hundreds (maybe thousands) of folders.  The folders are
all contained in one folder.  I would like the thumbnails stored in
the same folder as the parent image, taking the parent image's name

Factor Effecting High ISO Pictures - Camera or Lens26 Sep 2007 07:54 GMT12
I am currently using a Nikon D50 with a 24-85mm f/2.8-4D AF Nikkor
Lens. One of my complains about this combination is the high ISO
(1600) pictures - they're too  grainy.
If I had enough $$$ I would replace both, but since I have only
Need Recommendations for Digital Photo Processing26 Sep 2007 03:23 GMT3
HI, I've got about fifty digital pictures I need printed and I'm hoping to
get recommendations for digital prints source.
These are family snapshots but I'd still like to get good quality prints at
a fair price. Also, like recommendations for an on line place to create a
Question on Circular polarizer and rotating lens element26 Sep 2007 00:31 GMT7
If I am using a circular polarizer on a digital SLR, I heard that a
rotating lens element will rotate the polarizer and it will basically
make it useless. As I understand optics, a circular polarizer
basically changes the phase between the electrical and magnetic

EOS Rebel photo storage on Media Player?25 Sep 2007 23:38 GMT8
I am new to the digital photo world.  I have an EOS Rebel XT.  I am
wondering if there is a media player (i.e. iPod, iRiver,
iSomethingElse ...) that I can use to offload pictures from the EOS
Rebel?  I appreciate that I can purchase additional compact flash

Panasonic Lumix FZ1825 Sep 2007 21:51 GMT12
I was about to grab a new FZ18 today. Unfortunately, they run out a
new one in the box and have to wait for a few days (they do not want
to sell the display one for a discount :( ) So, I still have some time
to "chicken out", if I want to. I like the 18x zoom feature, and
Spliting dates and strings25 Sep 2007 15:03 GMT3
I have a date field in a database. I have been given forms to be
printed out.
The problem is that the form requires the date to be printed out in 3
seperate parts. In the form day month and year.
