Before DSLR, most pros shoot weddings with medium format cameras because they can be enlarged more with low grain. Nowadays, many pros shoot weddings with DSLRs, some even shoot with amateurish DSLR (non full-frame sensor).

What does this men in stupid language? Sometimes the total pixels by far exceed the "effective" pixels. If they´re not effective, then why put them there in the first place?
