I am 16 and very interested in photography as a hobby.
Anyway, I had the oppertunity to photograph a pair of hummingbird
chicks in their nest. I need help on which of my three narrowed down
photos to choose, and/or how to crop them. I would like to choose one

I'm looking (in advance, for a change) for a camera related present
for my girlfriend, a keen amateur. She has a Canon 400D with the
18-55mm that came with it and a 90-300mm telephoto. I think she also
has a 20-80mm (or thereabouts) from her previous analog SLR.

Seems like I remember years ago hearing about this to identify people
as criminals or targets.

Hope this is the right place to ask this question. A friend of mine has
thousands of 35mm colour slides which he uses in giving lectures. Things
have moved on and most places he talks at have PCs and projectors as
standard, not slide projectors.

While to day it is no contest I wonder if someday Gimp will catch up.  
However, for about $700 less Gimp is a very enticing product.  Gimp

Thanks to Photomatix, I've spent the weekend revisiting some of my old
