Just had a SD card corrupted and all data lost - apparently. Ran a specialised memory card data recovery program but no luck. Then, cos had nothing to lose, ran Windows Command Prompt check disk, chkdsk.exe against the card. It recovered all the files and put them in a 'FOUND.chk' ...

so this is my first new camera in ages, and i was pretty excited about working with it. i used to use Photoshop + Adobe Canon Raw (ACR, guts behind Bridge), but now i use Lightroom (also uses ACR i believe). i was pretty bummed to discover LR doesnt recognize the 40D's new .CR2

Does anyone know of a lab that makes prints the size and aspect ratio of the image from the D70, and not just the standard film camera ratios, such as 5 x 7, 8 x 10, 16 x 20, etc.? If I look at my image in Photoshop as a .psd, it shows 12.53 in x 8.33

I have a SIGMA MACRO 105mm 1:2.8D which I used with my film camera. Whilst in the shop buying my first digital SLR I noticed what seems to be the same lens, only made for a digital camera. Are there any differences in the image quality between the two lens?
