Now that printers cost real money....15 Sep 2007 22:22 GMT14
Instead of costing $50 piece like before, it isn't hard to spend $300-
$400 on an ink jet.  So why are we still being RAPED on ink cost by
the mfgs?  Do you know that the cost of ink in some cases is as much
as gold? By weight that is.  It takes about 10 tons of rock blasted,
Online Camera Stores: Take a Close Look15 Sep 2007 22:03 GMT3
For those of us that have been around here for a while this article does
not break any new ground. But possibly the site has readers that are less
informed than we are. So we can hope that this may save some people a bad
experience.
Pentax K10D Exif data - where is it?15 Sep 2007 19:05 GMT18
The subject line tells it all, but to elaborate - I've used Nikon
digitals almost exclusively for the past 6 or 7 years and they all
have the option to have a file created and stored with the image files
on the memory card.  Now that I've been trying to learn all the tricks
Back to the discussion on taking people's photos in public15 Sep 2007 17:01 GMT21
Most of you think you have the right to take photos of people in public

that in Canada and you may well get sued for it.

WIll CS3 help with this difficult touch up?15 Sep 2007 16:17 GMT20
I'm using PS 7, mostly the healing brush, but this old snapshot is getting
really difficult in some areas, particularly the horizontal cracking
across the hood, the variation of shadows on either side of the crack is
not allowing me to get a good cloning area.

What do I need to do or buy to Improve my Pictures?15 Sep 2007 15:09 GMT13
When I was younger and used Nikon and Canon's I was a pretty good semi-
professional photographer, multiple lenses, filters, developed my own
bw, et-cetera. This was 30-plus years ago. Now, I use a 7MP Canon
Point and Shoot with a 3X zoom and my pics generally suck, unless they
P&S question.15 Sep 2007 14:28 GMT23
Earlier today I was shopping for a new P&S.
The store had the Cannon A560 at $145 and the Cannon SD1000 at $245.
Except for the look and feel of them I couldn't find a reason for the price
differance.

If I point the camera towards the sun would I be able to view sunspots
without a White-light filter or H-alpha (H-A) filter?

Ping: Annika (rare bug pic)15 Sep 2007 12:16 GMT25
Bret,
We all admire your bug photos, so I thought I'd post a shot I took on
vacation in Santa Barbara, CA (USA) a short time back. This is a rare
sighting, even more rare to find one in its natural habitat:
