All image stabilization is a HOAX!23 Aug 2007 03:48 GMT47
Not just the tricky electronic ISO-bumping. IS, VR, whatever you call
it, is pure mind control marketing hoaxing at its best. A printed or
displayed image made in "stabilizing" mode contains an extremely light
watermarking that says:

Thanks Denis

help w/fujifilm photo uploading?22 Aug 2007 20:46 GMT9
I have 2 PCs, neither are independently servicable .  My older Gateway has
Windows 98 SE, a tower w/an extra slot for copying/burning cds, and an

the point that I'm unable to use photoshop or anything to ...
Why do they always leave out one feature?!22 Aug 2007 20:42 GMT23
I look at Panasonic LX2 (= Leica D-LUX 3). It is perfect in every way
except one: the zoom range is too small.
Then there is TZ3. Perfect in zoom range and most every way except
one: lack of aperture/shutter priority.
compact cameras with large sensors?22 Aug 2007 18:18 GMT10
Since the quality of sensors is said to grow with sensor size, I would
be interested to know of compact cameras (non SLR) having reasonably
large sensors. Canon G3 and G7 have a 7.18 x 5.32 mm sensor; is any
other compact camera better ?
Spelunking With The Mk III22 Aug 2007 18:05 GMT3
With its weather sealing, metal body, and high ISO performance, the Mk III
is the perfect camera to go down under with.
Bret, this one's for you since I know you have many caves that you would
like to explore.
