National Geographic Threw Away All Credibility When They Released This Book!!24 Aug 2007 22:55 GMT130
All this talk about how glamorous it would be working for NG as a
photographer and they now have the nerve to release this book!  It exposes
the true motives of NG.  Yes, this is really a book released by NG.
Bastards!  This is a real slap in the face to all photographers worldwide.
D80 and raw and colorspace24 Aug 2007 20:48 GMT3
Just to be sure: if I change setting like sharpnees, color and colorspace
like Adobe RGB, this only affects the JPG files, right? The Nikon manual
tells all the settings, but lacks to say when and in what format they are
used.
Opinion on Nikon D80 vs Panasonic Lumix L124 Aug 2007 18:31 GMT12
Recently, I saw at the photo store relatively comparable prices
between a Nikon D80 and Lumix L1. I wonder if anyone who have used
both cameras can provide some input about these two cameras. The Lumix
L1 is relatively large, but I heard that it has an exceptional lens
Maximum card size, Canon S3 IS ?24 Aug 2007 18:26 GMT2
What is the maximum size memory card I can use in my new S3 IS?
I thoought it was 2 gig, but is seems the previous poster is using a 4
gig card. Can the camera handle this, and also show the proper amount
of space and picture numbers on the display?

About the Poltergeist24 Aug 2007 03:07 GMT2
I have reviewed the message posted about the poltergeist and believe the
unusual blur is either smoke, a piece of fabric, or something else of this
world that moved through the image area during exposure. A slow shutter
speed will reproduce this effect. I do not believe it is a ...
Canon S3 IS, total zoom?24 Aug 2007 02:56 GMT6
I am sort of new to the big zoom cameras, and I wonder about the
additional zoom of the S3 and others.
With a 12X optical and an additional 4X digital, does that make it
into an (although not very prqactical) 48X Zoom?

Does compatibility extend this far?23 Aug 2007 16:06 GMT6
I'm considering buying my first DSLR and, because I have an F3 with
several Nikon lenses, am interested in the D40X. Will the D40X accept
the old lenses, the 55mm Micro Nikkor in particular? I'm aware that it
won't auto-focus; its much too old.
