| Storing Your Digital Camera | 15 Aug 2007 23:30 GMT | 2 |
Is there a preferred orientation for storing your a dslr? I store mine lens up and was wondering should I be storing it lens forward so not to make it so easy for gravity to leave dust/dirt on the sensor? Thanks for any replies.

| Sharpness issues with Canon 50mm f/1.8 and Canon Rebel XTi | 15 Aug 2007 15:06 GMT | 23 |
I'm a newbie to SLRs. I bought my Canon Rebel XTi and Canon 50mm f/1.8 II just a few days back. I feel the pictures I get are not as sharp as I expect them to be. An image with 100% crops from pictures taken at various apertures can be seen at the following link.

| Repair or scrap? | 15 Aug 2007 13:36 GMT | 4 |
I've got a Nikon Coolpix 5700. I took it out yesterday and the screen is blank, just as if I'd left the lens-cap on. It will display pictures already on the card, and the menu system works fine, both on the electronic viewfinder and the screen, but no image at all.

Apparently Sony is coming out with a new 14.8MP camera soon. Since Nikon uses Sony's chips could this be the next D3's digital sensor? Press the link and look for the Sony camera. http://www.engadget.com/page/2/

| I´m lost! Depth of field problem with all DSLR´s ??? | 14 Aug 2007 22:35 GMT | 61 |
After seeing many sites with beautiful photos, I´m coming to the conclusion that nearly all DSLR camera´s have a big problem with depth of field. Nikon D80, Canon 400D, etc. Especially with macro pics I see the front of a bee or fly sharp, but the body is already out of focus.
