How well does the picture quality on a modern 2MP cellular phone compare

I have a sandisk 2g CF card, Windows XP, everytime I try to safely remove
card, I get a mesage "program might be accessing card" but I have no
programs open

Well, almost!  But the old Mk III was there to capture the record breaking
events at the annual "World's Largest Sheet Of Toilet Tissue" competition.
The competition was stiff and did their best.  The only letdown was the old
28-70/2.8 Nikkor for not being wide enough.  God knows it ...

I can't seem to get the Func button assigned to turning on the framing grid.
In menu, I go to func and set framing grid to OK but when I back out of the
menu
and press the func button there's no framing grid to be seen.

I've been searching so far to every models. I can't decide which one

In trying to save a few bucks, I went cheap on a 4gb Sandisk CF card,
and a battery for my DSLR.  Even if the vendor is from North America,
which mine was, don't buy cards or batteries on-line from anyone other
than a reputable dealer.  Both have crapped out on me.
