| Best Strategy for Occasional Battery Use? | 23 Jul 2007 17:49 GMT | 56 |
I will be buying a good digital SLR (probably a Nikon, so I'm looking at Li Ion batteries) in the next few months for documenting circuits & mechanisms I build in my shop. I will probably use it occasionally for other things, but it may go for a week or two without being used. ...

| Does Nikon sell lenses to other camera manufacturers? | 23 Jul 2007 17:27 GMT | 11 |
In the old days, Nikon supplies a series of lenses for the Bronica Zenza medium format camera. I wonder whether Nikon also supplies lenses to fit into other brand cameras. Just curious.

I just upgraded to the version 7 of PTGUI, the one which supports HDR images. Tried to create an HDR image, by merging two images, one underexposed, one overexposed, using the default settings. Here are the two images:

| REPUTABLE NYC camera shops? | 23 Jul 2007 11:01 GMT | 40 |
I' will be in New York City - Manhattan at the end of March. Anyone able to recommend a good shop (not a tourist rip-off) that I could visit while I'm there? I'd like to at least look around while I'm there and maybe pick up some smaller items (filters, accessories).

| My Olympus xD H 1GB card appears to be corrupt | 22 Jul 2007 22:32 GMT | 2 |
I have an Olympus SP-550UZ camera and have tried to transfer pictures from the xD card to my PC. I have tried to use an Olympus xD USB adaptor since this seemed the simplest way. Initially Explorer recognised the card, then for no reason that I could see 'lost' it.
