I was taking picts of humming birds a few days ago with the 55-200
attached to a D-50.
the birds were moving constantly and I was shooting at 1/1000 and f 4 a
fast as I could hit the button.  The lens focused fast enough that the

I've got a Nikon D40, but i can't take a good picture of a group of
people. Only the person in the center stay in focus. What is the
optimal configuration for achieving a great photo?

handheld telephoto images with exposure times up to 14.5 seconds,

I have a flatbed scanner which has problems scanning a page in a book
because the page at the binding can never be made to lie flat. So can
anyone recommend a cheap digital camera that I could mont on a tri-pod
to scan a page?

Does anyone here have any experience with how long it usually takes
for Lowepro to repair a bag with a busted zipper?  We have 2 - a

I just returned my FZ50 to the store (Pixmania) because I found out that:
the advertised 1/2000 speed ONLY works at F8 or higher, so it is pitch dark,
very usefull!

I have some old b/w photos with textured surface like a fine grit sand
paper. When I scanned these photos with a flatbed scanner (epson 4870), the
textured surface shows up as specks of light and dark spots, almost like a
digital photo taken in high ISO. I can reduce this effect ...
