After owning a TZ1 for over a year now, I just noticed an interesting
feature.
The TZ1 has only two aperture settings F2.8 and F5 at wide angle. Zoom it
out 10x and the two settings become F4.2 and F7.1. No wonder they don't have

A couple of years ago I got a Fuji S2 which came bundled with 'camera
control' software.
That software worked great on my old Mac, but doesn't work on my new
Mac, which has OS 10. (10.4 I think?)

My 4 cheap nicad battaries have failed after only about 10 cycles, at
least, the power output on 1 is well down and the net result is that I
can only manage 2 pictures. Since I don't use my camera that often,
which is the best type of battery to use ?

I have a brand new Rebel XT that apparently has a couple of hot
pixels. I didn't notice them until I shot something that had a totally
black area (I happened to pan across it at 100% and saw the red spot).
Turns out there's another one elsewhere. They don't show up on a
