Are the lenses always fundamentally of better quality in a Canon or Nikon
dlsr than in a same brands bridge or compact camera?
I have in mind the Canon 400d/Nikon d40 compared lens-wise to say a Canon S5
IS.
Questions About The Fuji S6000 Camera04 Jul 2007 03:33 GMT4
Hi, I hope someone can offer some comments about my recent purchase.
I was watching QVC shopping channel and got caught up in their
presentation on the the Fuji S6000 camera. I ordered it and hope I made
a wise choice. Normally I research all items before buying, but this was
Olympus E500 LCD04 Jul 2007 02:02 GMT2
Stupid question of the day....can you frame the shot with the LCD, ie
use it as the viewfinder? I would think it's possible but I can't
figure out how!
Thanks for any feedback either way.

but wasn't able to solve the problem, which is this: I can't get the
Gimp expert--I need help03 Jul 2007 21:42 GMT4
I have to edit files set up in Photoshop. The Gimp works for
everything except one problem I can't figure out how to solve.
The Photoshop files have text layers. I need to be able to change the
words of the text using the same exact features as set up in
Old Analog Meter: Any Value ??03 Jul 2007 18:53 GMT14
I have an old Gossen Super Pilot light meter that appears to be in very good
physical condition.  I'm a casual user of a digital SLR and have never used
a light meter of any kind.  Surprisingly, there are several of these
available on e-Bay, one claiming that it is a useful ...

Was right!  I should have listened to them!  It was so humiliating getting
stood up.  Thank goodness I had my old standby to fall back on.

extension lenses and compact digital cameras03 Jul 2007 16:39 GMT16
I have seen recently that there are some compacts that have the option
of screwing on a new lens to archive a  wide lens ( sort of like an
slr is able to do ) .
Which compact digital  cameras are these ?
Best digital under $200?03 Jul 2007 16:00 GMT79
Anyone have any recommendations for a good digital camera within $200?
I cannot afford a lot. A buddy has a Nikon Coolpix L12 and enjoys it
very much. Even has a built in wide-angle lens. Seems like a good
camera and I took some pics in a restaurant the other day, using
Mermaid Parade Pictures03 Jul 2007 15:22 GMT20
This year's Mermaid Parade had suburb weather, so it had a record turnout.
Of the 435 pictures that I took I put 307 of them on the web. This is a
family oriented parade that is *very* fleshy. Come see the pictures at:
