Noisy Canon 70-300 IS Zoom05 Jul 2007 23:51 GMT4
I received this lens new on Tuesday and I find that the IS feature is
distractingly noisy at longer range.  At 70mm it is much quieter.  I also
have the Canon 17-85 IS and it is very quiet if not entirely silent.
Did I get a defective lens or do all 70-300 IS lenses behave in this ...
What is 32-bit color?05 Jul 2007 19:43 GMT5
Digital photographic color is generally defined as 24-bit, with 8 bits each
in the red, green and blue components. Most recent monitors can be set to
32-bit color. What are the extra 8 bits, and what purpose do they serve?

sensor size?04 Jul 2007 16:01 GMT10
Kind of a Newbie question on sensor size.
What is the difference between,  1/2.5 " or 1/1.6 " or 1/1.8 " on non-slr's
or 4/3" or 23.7 x 15.6 mm on a Nikon.  Do more or bigger sensors necessarily
mean better pictures? and If so,  why? thanks
How can I share a slide show?04 Jul 2007 12:44 GMT4
I have finally completed a slide show with background music. I made a
WMV file of about 64mb.
To share the slide show I know that I can make VCD's and snail mail them
to people interested. This may amount to make and mail many disks.

Stupid question of the day....can you frame the shot with the LCD, ie
use it as the viewfinder? I would think it's possible but I can't
figure out how!
Thanks for any feedback either way.
