Can I use irfanview to rewrite IPTC data?10 Jul 2007 02:56 GMT6
Here is the problem: Nikon Capture NX writes IPTC data in some way that
after it is saved to a JPEG, Picasa and Flickr cannot read it. However,
if I go into irfanview I can read the IPTC data then if I use irfanview
to write it back (without changing anything), Picasa and Flickr ...
Finally, art I can understand.10 Jul 2007 01:35 GMT2
I've been shooting pix for a long time, and never had the desire to either
become an artist, or express myself through photography. However, during a
tour of a sculpture garden in West Tisbury, MA (USA) I found a piece of art
I can finally understand completely:
Simple website design critique please.09 Jul 2007 23:31 GMT36
I've been playing around with simple methods to display my images on my
ISP provided free site using javascript "lightbox" scripts from dynamic
drive. I welcome comments back about this.  Both links below have the
same images and layout, but different scripts.
Canon dSLR's09 Jul 2007 23:01 GMT86
Someone told me that the sound of the mirror moving (the sound you hear when
you take a photograph) was actually a recording and could be turned off (and
I don't mean by stopping the mirror from coming down).  Is this true?  In
any of the cameras in the canon dslr range?
Wedding photography- new equipment09 Jul 2007 22:33 GMT13
I shot film (35mm) for many years, had my own dark room and stopped 10
years ago. Now I want to jump back shooting weddings. Since my
photographer is leaving us and the area, I better do it now myself since
I have to attend to the weddings anyway.

Canon Angle Finder C for Canon d109 Jul 2007 18:48 GMT5
Anyone have any thoughts on a good angle finder for a canon d1?
Want to get down low for some upward pointing macro shots without
laying down in the mud.
Canons version is this:
Remote shoot09 Jul 2007 16:36 GMT13
I am looking for a camera that allows me to trip the shutter
remotely.  Also allows me to see through the lens to the remote
laptop.  Does such a camera exist.

SD450 software CD09 Jul 2007 16:05 GMT6
I lost the software CD for my Canon Powershot SD 450.  Can the
software be downloaded?  I tried downloading the driver off the Canon
website but it wouldn't install (said the file couldn't be found), and
I'm also not sure if that's everything I need anyway.  Any help would

What's your thought process when taking a photograph?09 Jul 2007 09:19 GMT20
As a new owner of a Canon 710S, which I've had about a month, I've had
varying success.  I certainly don't plan to be an expert, but I'm one
of those people that need to know how everything works on everything I
own.
custom function 4 on the 20D09 Jul 2007 09:09 GMT2
Just been experimenting with custom function 4 on the Canon 20D (and reading
quite a bit on the net too). When set to CF4-1 (*button focuses, shutter
sets exposure) does one just fully depress the shutter or half press? I've
tried both and there seems to be no difference. Sorry ...
CHOOSING A PROSUMER DIGITAL CAMERA09 Jul 2007 08:03 GMT13
I currently have an old Sony DSC F-707 but am looking for an excellent
camera for Weddings, Qunceaneras, etc.
I adore my F-707 and love Sony products for durability and low repair
issues, but had a bit of trouble with inadequate speed and flash.

was hoping that if anyone knows of any chargers I've missed that meet
the following criteria, that they will let me know:
