Formatted SD card in camera, now only 1gb instead of 2gb! Need to repartition it!13 Jul 2007 11:15 GMT11
I have a 2gb SD card which I use for general things. A few weeks ago I
used it in my camera as a spare, and I formatted it using the camera
to clear it. Back in my PC it seems that the camera created a 1gb
partition and there's 1gb unused. The problem is, Windows Disk
Underwater cameras?13 Jul 2007 11:06 GMT3
I'm in the market for an underwater camera. Not just splashproof, but
one which I can take a few photos. I don't think I'll be scuba diving,
just photos of my kid underwater. I'm thinking of stuff like the
Olympus 775SW or the Pentax W30. Has anyone seen a round up review of

Found hundreds of photos: How to scan them to my PC13 Jul 2007 08:39 GMT11
How would you recommend a regular person scan hundreds of 4x6 color
photos into a Windows PC?
My parents left us hundreds of 4x6 color photos of us when we were
kids, most have negatives in sleeves, but many don't have the
Software to compute focal length of an image13 Jul 2007 07:47 GMT1
Is there a software which allows you to compute the focal length (or
angle of view) of an image which has no exif? You would enter
assumptions about the size of objects in the photo and the distance
between them. You'd probably be unable to guess the position of the
Question on Irfanview and spyware13 Jul 2007 07:26 GMT42
Someone on this board suggested the program has some spyware.
Siteadvisor.com gives Irfanview.com a positive rating.
These sites explain various benign items about the program:

Anybody seen one in real life? I've Googled all over trying to find it
somewhere else, mayhap with some reviews but no luck.
Canon 20D, Intel based Macbook pro and CAnon Software?13 Jul 2007 05:04 GMT2
I currently shoot a Canon 20D tethered to a PC using Canon's Digital
Photo Professional and EOS Utility.
Does anyone know if this will work using an Intel based MacBook Pro?
If so what combo of software do I need to use?
Converting Card type13 Jul 2007 04:50 GMT2
It seems all the digital cameras these days use the SD cards.  I cant
even find the Smart Media cards that my Olympus needs, at least not in
stores and I refuse to use Ebay any longer.  (the last SM card I got
on Ebay was dead and the seller refused to replace it.
Auto Slide Scanners13 Jul 2007 03:56 GMT6
I want to scan a bunch of family slides. The Nikon 5000ED scanner with
the SF-210 auto slide feeder retails for about $1500. Are there no
other brands? How does one find used ones that are reliable? Respond

Ultralast Charger Comes with Hybrio Batteries, and can run off USB port (plus 120-240 VAC and 12 VDC)13 Jul 2007 03:41 GMT27
I was in Fry's at lunch today, and I saw a new NiMH charger from
Ultralast that is bundled with 4 AA Hybrio batteries. It has an LCD that
indicates the charge level of each cell (so presumably it has four
independent channels), and can be plugged into a computer's USB port (as

Can JPEG Numbers Be Printed on Tabs of 4x6" Paper?12 Jul 2007 18:11 GMT30
I have a question concerning H-P 4x6" inkjet photo paper. I notice that
a bit of each photo is printed onto the removable tab. I have difficulty
keeping track of large numbers of prints, e.g. vacation photos
distributed to friends and family. Is there any way to have my H-P photo ...
Online storage/sharing12 Jul 2007 16:04 GMT2
Greetings all,
Now that Club Photo is gone I am looking for another online photo sharing

was satisfied with it and am looking for recommendations for a similar
