Thinking about retiring my Nikon 950 for a mid-range DSLR.
Considering Nikon, Canon, or Olympus.  The question of this day is: do any
of the three NOT require proprietary batteries?  Or maybe better said, can
any of the three use standard NiMH AAs, either natively or in some kind ...

I'm looking at the specs for the Nikon D40X and see that it says child
mode for flash. What does that do? Say cheese for you?

             I bought a  4 G. compact flash card  Lexar 133MB, and
with it loaded on the card
was Corel Paint Shop pro 9.

I'm looking for a small P&S camera that does real close-up macro
photography. I have a Panasonic TZ1 but its macro capability is limited to
about a 3 inch wide field of view. I would like to get closer in. Are there
any better macro P&S cameras out there?

A couple of months ago i replaced my canon s45 with canon 710IS
I have been happily using the camera for last couple of months and
everything fine. I must confess that i leave it to my wife to upload
pictures from card to PC and every couple of months i back up photos.
