I have some pictures on PBase (http://www.pbase.com/mjhale if anyone wants
to look).  I received an E-mail today from AAA Southern California asking
if they could use several of my photos in an article about LA attractions
and scenery.

Why Nikon did not develop its own camera sensor?21 Jul 2007 06:22 GMT60
It is rather surprising that Nikon relies on Sony for their sensor in
their digital cameras. At the time when the digital cameras emerged,
why didn't Nikon develop their sensor technology to be used for their
barnd cameras?  Would the decision to rely on other manufacturer (or
enlarger strand w/o enlarger itself?21 Jul 2007 05:10 GMT4
I am looking to purchase an adjustable stand for a camera which would
function exactly like an enlarger stand. A cheap enlarger is $200, but
I would hate to buy an enlarger and throw away the enlarger istelf to
keep the stand. Where can I buy the stand separatetly?
Newbie question on digital filters21 Jul 2007 03:33 GMT5
Being a recent convert from 35mm film (2xCanon A1) to digital. On my
film cameras I keep Skylight 1B filters on all the time.
I've noticed thay filter manufacturers offer 'digital' filters i.e.
looking at the Hoya Pro 1D range for my new K10D.
... Attention all users of the Canon Powershot SD800 IS Digital Elph ...21 Jul 2007 02:26 GMT2
I'm considering buying the SD800 because it is tiny and light, takes
good pictures, has IS, minimal shutter lag, and has real wide angle.
Disadvantages include a high price, soft corners at wide angle, and no
manual exposure, which I think I can live with.
What's the name of it?21 Jul 2007 00:47 GMT5
I saw stores in malls typically hang a large picture with just a
couple long and transparent plastic clips, and a thin wire. It's a
very easy and nice way to display large pcitures.
I have some pictures of size 20x30, and I want to buy those picture
Where is this smudge coming from?20 Jul 2007 21:59 GMT5
I have a Canon EOS 20D.  I'm noticing a faded smudge appearing in
photos on the left middle side.  It doesn't seem to be related to any
lens as I've tried two.  Here are some samples:

PC monitor as SLR viewfinder?20 Jul 2007 17:51 GMT20
I need to set up a digital SLR on a stand to take images of relatively
small objects (say, 2 by 3 inches). The camera is set up above the
surface of a table, with the lens pointing down. I want to place small
objects on the table and take pictures using a cable switch. Since the
adobe photoshop. bridgem, and raw question20 Jul 2007 17:17 GMT3
This probably isn't the right place to ask, but I can't find better just now.
I need to do something simple in Photoshop CS2.
