Where oh where did those nice 2/3" sensors go? Gone when the ultralong zooms came in. Now they almost all sport s--- 1/2.5" noise box sensors. LOOK at this mess:

| Thoughts on the Olympus SP-550UZ? | 03 Jun 2007 11:52 GMT | 5 |
Yeah, I should have done more research before posting my previous two questions, but I didn't know there was such a thing as an 18x optical zoom until I stumbled across the SP-550. Any thoughts on this camera? If you know, how does it compare to the Canon S2 or S3 IS? Last post,

I have very fond memories of my old Olympus 2100 Ultrazoom, which took great pictures and performed amazingly well in low-light situations. Right now I have a Canon S2-IS, and although I like it, I have always been disappointed by it's terrible low-light capabilities. How does

| Firmware upgrade for Minolta DImage 7 ?? | 02 Jun 2007 01:21 GMT | 6 |
I am thinking of buying a Minolta Dimage 7 camera, for infra-red work. Short of getting a camera converted this camera seems, as far as I can tell from reading things, a good compromise between infra-red sensitivity and reasonable resolution.
