State of P&S (except for Fuji) is TRASH today!03 Jun 2007 13:39 GMT21
Where oh where did those nice 2/3" sensors go? Gone when the ultralong

Thoughts on the Olympus SP-550UZ?03 Jun 2007 11:52 GMT5
Yeah, I should have done more research before posting my previous two
questions, but I didn't know there was such a thing as an 18x optical
zoom until I stumbled across the SP-550. Any thoughts on this camera?
If you know, how does it compare to the Canon S2 or S3 IS? Last post,

Olympus SP-510 vs Canon S2 IS or S3 IS?03 Jun 2007 04:06 GMT1
I have very fond memories of my old Olympus 2100 Ultrazoom, which took
great pictures and performed amazingly well in low-light situations.
Right now I have a Canon S2-IS, and although I like it, I have always
been disappointed by it's terrible low-light capabilities. How does

How do you store/back up your photos?02 Jun 2007 13:56 GMT58
Augh!  Bad side of bigMP camera, and RAW:  The Space!  I used to be able
to fit a couple months' pics on one DVD.  Even in .jpg, I can barely fit
the originals of my Tasmania trip on one!  The originals I've taken just
since I started with the Rebel XTi are taking up one DL DVD ...

Firmware upgrade for Minolta DImage 7 ??02 Jun 2007 01:21 GMT6
I am thinking of buying a Minolta Dimage 7 camera, for infra-red work.
Short of getting a camera converted this camera seems, as far as I can
tell from reading things, a good compromise between infra-red
sensitivity and reasonable resolution.
Nikon S10 LCD02 Jun 2007 00:49 GMT3
I really like the concept of the swiveling lense on the Nikon S10  but
in order for the camera to be really usefull to me I need to be able
to see the LCD clearly in sunlight. Is the LCD on the S10 readable in
sunlight or does it look all washed out?
