| Fixing an unfocused image theoretically straightforward?! | 12 Jun 2007 22:20 GMT | 34 |
If an unfocused image = convolution of the focused image with a Gaussian kernel, then this is a linear thus invertible transform, and therefore the focused image could in principle be recovered by guessing the sigma of the blurring Gaussian!

| How to take a picture of a picture? | 12 Jun 2007 19:20 GMT | 16 |
I am currently trying to save old family photographs, and I have successfully scanned dozens of old photographs. Some of the photographs do not scan well, and some of them are old metal photographs 100+ years old that I have not even attempted to scan.

| Kodachrome pallet with Digital post processing? | 12 Jun 2007 00:09 GMT | 2 |
One of the best explanations I heard for comparing different types of film (remember film?) was that each one had a "pallet" of colors. Is there any way to post process a digital pic and give it a "kodachrome" look?

| Which PC for maximum reliability? | 11 Jun 2007 22:22 GMT | 51 |
I have a busy photo studio, and absolutely cannot put up with delays caused by a broken photo editing PC (broken hardware or screwed up microsoft windows). I need my PC to be available, always. I am willing to spend well over $10,000 if throwing money at the problem
