Which camera? Pros and cons please.17 Jun 2007 17:15 GMT27
I'm looking for a compact digital camera at around the 400USD mark. Tell
me what's good and what's not so good. I'm a long time film SLR user,
looking for a decent digital camera to tide me through until I get a
digital SLR.
The lens-sensor resolution question17 Jun 2007 17:08 GMT21

sharper pictures?  I'm not talking about edge definition or lenses
afflicted with CA or SA, but centrally, a really good lens will
Photo Enhancing17 Jun 2007 15:39 GMT4
I edit a small periodical magazine and I will get photos submitted for
inclusion, some of which are really quite poor in quality.  The biggest
problem that I have is a group flash photo that is not perpendicular to the
camera.  That leads to overexposure on one side or ...

Has anyone in this group read the new CR digital camera article--and if so,
what did you think of it and its conclusions?

Editing digital video back onto camera17 Jun 2007 08:59 GMT2
I have bought a Sony Cybershot T50 which also takes video stored as a
'MOV1234' file. I would like to take the video clips, edit them together and
put them back onto the Memorystick so I could watch them as a single clip
(the camera has a decent 3 inch screen).

Does anyone know why AA NiMH rechargeable are rated at 1.2V but AA
Alkaline are 1.5V?
Old reflex enthusiast wants to buy a new camera17 Jun 2007 03:34 GMT11
Hello, I'm an old reflex enthusiast, I've got many cameras, no one is
digital.
But now I want to try a digital one, considering I'm not an expert in
digital field, what camera would you suggest me? (but I'm an expert in
What Is a Good Battery Charger for SONY DSC-F828? And What Batteries Are the Best?17 Jun 2007 02:49 GMT7
I plugged my battery charger for my Sony DSC-f828
into an outlet in Europe, with a converter, and
... I fried the charger and the battery. Now, I cannot
find that charger anymore. I would appreciate some adsvice

I have a Canon IXUS 40, which I love.  It's getting a bit old now so
I'm looking to upgrade in the next few weeks.  I want to get another
compact camera but am also interested in something a bit more advanced
as well to improve the quality of my shots.  Specifically, I'd like a
Digital sensors   Nikon   Canon17 Jun 2007 01:39 GMT14
Hey there,
I have a Nikon D200 and it has a low pass

Do the better Canon  XTi,s, etc. also have filters over their
Canon i9900 not turning on16 Jun 2007 21:54 GMT1
My Canon i9900 will not power on.  The plug works - I tested a few
other items, so the power is there.  When I push the power button on
the printer nothing happens.  I made sure the power cord is in
tightly.  I recently moved, and the printer was bundled tightly while

This poster, which is up on the Long Island Rail Road trains, features
sixteen sets of eyes. Each of the 16 sets has a completely different
