First Paying Gig - How much should I charge?05 May 2007 20:48 GMT14
There is a small concert promoter who is doing battle of the bands concerts
throughout the US with finals in Denver.  I walked into one of his shows
just to get some pictures and, after sending him some at his request, he
liked them and wants to hire me for another Texas show.  It ...
fix canon i960 or buy a new one?05 May 2007 17:25 GMT4
Hi, found this group while searching for info on what my printer
error means.  I have a canon i960 that we got when they first
came out.  It just started giving me a 5 flashing orange light
code and saying there was an 'operator error'.  I checked on the

CS3 Commercial Release Still 'Buggy'  :(05 May 2007 13:27 GMT8
My CS3 Beta expired today so I bought the commercially released CS3
Extended Online.  I haven't had much chance to use it but I'm amazed that
it's still 'buggy' after the public beta trials.  One of the early problems
reported by many people with Bridge CS3 Beta was that it did ...

camera? Are there any alternatives with 3"+ screen?
Thanks for any help

impressions from Nikon S405 May 2007 07:10 GMT2
I just got delivered a refurbished Nikon S4 which I bought on eBay. I
am slightly disappointed. The camera feels cheaper and of a lower
class than Panasonic LX1 I have. But I think Nikon S4 will be quite
satisfactory for the tasks I bought it: I bought it for its swivel
File Size Question05 May 2007 07:04 GMT5
OK - this may be a much asked/answered question - but I searched and
couldn't find an answer.
I just went from a pocket digicam to a Nikon D40x - and if I am taking
pictures at the highest resolution setting - what size files should I

I note that pro's using SLR's (film OR digital), and

If I want to maximise the quality
of the shots I take with my digital compact

I just need to tag and catalogue; Lightroom or Elements5?05 May 2007 03:00 GMT8
I use PhotoshopCS2 for image adjusting, so
all I need is a good fast Tagger &
Cataloguer.
Which would be best for just this purpose
"Fashion" lighting question05 May 2007 01:14 GMT2
There's a technique used by a number of fashion photographers (David
Lachapelle, etc.) where (my guess is) they shoot out doors, with a
polarizer and a flash to highlight the subject, darken the background
and give an unnatural/"fashion" look to the photo. I was wondering
B&H has the Nikkor 18-200 in stock04 May 2007 20:56 GMT4
FYI ... it appears that B&H has the Nikkor 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 DX VRII in stock.
These things are still a bit hard to find, so get it while you can.

Nikon D200 for 700 Euros....too good to be true?04 May 2007 19:25 GMT15
Anyone ever heard of this web site?
http://euden.co.uk/items.php?id=13321369
They are advertising Nikon and Canon cameras at what can only be (at least
to me) impossible prices.  Anyone ever heard of them?  I checked
