Camera zaps NiMH batteries30 May 2007 23:35 GMT24
I have a Fuji A201 I sometimes use for snapshots and for times and
places where I wouldn't want to use a more-expensive camera. For its
modest cost and despite obvious limitations, it produces remarkably
good images.
America's #1 comedian makes dramatic film debut!30 May 2007 17:04 GMT11
Just like Bill Murray and Jim Carrey before him, America's premier
standup comic shows that his talent is unlimited. You will worship the
'Dane':

Kodak P850 filter question30 May 2007 15:27 GMT4
I've got a P850.  Looking at the manual it says you need an adaptor to use
55mm filters for which it
list neutral density and polariser.  The UV filter is there but does not
seem to be grouped with the
Screen printing on hard objects?30 May 2007 15:11 GMT2
Howz the best way to learn to screen print on small solid objects, like
ashtrays
and the like?  Ain't no tech schools, trade schools or other colleges around
here offer any screen printing classes.
Mega Pixel Myth30 May 2007 11:43 GMT98
The more megapixels your camera has the better the picture is the
myth. The truth is most good cameras do not need more mega pixels
unless you decide to enlarge the image larger than 4x6 image. an 8X10
Image might need 5-6 megapixels , but who really enlarges more than
Kodak Z71030 May 2007 10:49 GMT5
I just received this camera (part of a kit) and purchased via Ebay.
It seems to work properly indoors but outdoors every shot is terribly
over-exposed, very washed out with lines running across the screen as
well as the picture itself when downloaded to the computer.  I have

Lifetime30 May 2007 05:58 GMT4
People,
What's the usual lifetime of D200, D80, and other cameras? I mean the number
of shots, just approximately, X0'000, X00'000, greater? Did anybody hear
anything about that?
Low self-discharge NiMH batteries?30 May 2007 04:49 GMT13
Can anybody relate their experience with the low self-discharge NiMH batteries
out there?  In particular, I am interested in the Sony Eneloop and Rayovac
Hybrid batteries which are 2000mAh and 2100mAh respectively.
Please indicate which charger you use with these batteries and if ...
camcorder lamp30 May 2007 04:31 GMT1
I'm hoping this is the right newsgroup to ask for help regarding
camcorder lamps? I've been using a Canon MVX20i for a year or two and
it's been fun. I'd now like a video light to supplement indoor filming
and, if it's feasible, some limited distance outdoor night filming
EVF - is 115,000 enough?  Or is 205,000-230,000 really what is needed?30 May 2007 04:24 GMT89
I'm curious about EVF's for superzoom cameras.  One I'm looking
at has 115,000 pixels for the EVF, and I'm curious how well that
is working for most folks.  Is it sufficient for clear focus at
specific points, or does that EVF resolution make it difficult to
Kodak Z712IS Australia vs USA30 May 2007 04:02 GMT14
Really tried to like and to buy a  Kodak, but it seems they DON'T want
my business or money.Plain STUPID what they have done to the prices

The Sigma 30mm f/1.430 May 2007 01:42 GMT5
I'm happy that I have this lens, and I recommend it to anyone looking
for a fast digital lens. If I didn't have it, I wouldn't have been able
to sneak up on my son and dog and run off a bunch of shots before they
woke up. (OK, it was taken at f/2.2, ISO 100, 1/60. But the point ...

30D - odd shutter/metering behaviour29 May 2007 16:38 GMT21
Have any 30D users come across a situation where the
camera throws the shutter for less time then indicated by
metering ? I was shooting late yesterday and the camera
persistently misbehaved, seriously underexposing the shot.
