Dyanamic range, or lack of it is IMO, what really hurts some P&S
cameras.  Sure, noise is bad in them at high ISO (except for FUJI!)
but seeing whites blown to smithereens and dark greys lacking detail
is just as bad and happens at EVERY ISO speed with small sensors.

I'm looking for Minolta Maxxum/Sony Alpha compatible lenses.

I have just bought a Canon PowerShot G7, and this camera has a hot
shoe. Does anybody know wheteher I can use an old fashioned flash unit

My wife and I have a Sony DPP-FP30 dye sub, with which we generated
the most wonderful images.  For exactly one paper pack.  We now cannot
get a decent print out of it.  It's like the colors went haywire.
Sony was exactly zero help.  So we are now looking for some non-Sony

What do you think? What's going to change? Will it still be independent?
