Photo Software24 Apr 2007 03:53 GMT7
I have a whole bunch of different photo editing programs.
IrfanView and/or XnView do most of what I want. They're
easy, super-fast and free. However, one thing they both

NIkon 5400 direct download to SmartDisk Fotochute24 Apr 2007 01:58 GMT2
I'm trying to get my 5400 to download directly to the SmartDisk
Fotochute.  The Fotochute is a tiny 20 gig storage device that
theoretically can be downloaded without having to go through a
computer which would be terrific for field work.
Good Detail on Last Night's Moon23 Apr 2007 23:08 GMT2
This was this was taken with a Nikon Fieldscope 82 and a Coolpix 990.

I took some shots to better expose the bright area but they were less
The 300dpi Myth Debunked !23 Apr 2007 22:09 GMT40
Just the other day I decided to have one of my Steeplechase photos
printed at poster size (24" x 36").  The local Ritz Camera has an
Epson 7800 which they use for such things so I figured I'd give em a
try.  They allow you to upload the pic to them online and then simply

PHOTO-PRINTING23 Apr 2007 16:55 GMT5
I've been using PICASSO to edit/file my pics.
Works fine until I want to print some pictures.
Using an 8 X 10 sheet, I get the option to print
1, 2, 4, or 8   of the same photo.

You ask, what happens to a dSLR after 18-months?23 Apr 2007 02:23 GMT4
Well, it's not only limited to dSLRs.  After a piece of consumer electronics
or IT equipment reaches its "Sell By" date it enters a reclassification
phase.  This phase is an essential part of the item's life cycle for its
owner to recoup maximum return on thier purchase.
Pointers on photographing slot canyons23 Apr 2007 01:41 GMT5
I'll be visiting Antelope Canyon  soon and wonder if anyone can provide any
insight on how to best photograph them, or any pointers to web pages.  In
particular, I'm interested in whether a tripod will work in that environment
or not.
