Purchasing Advice01 Apr 2007 18:37 GMT1
Perhaps this is not the appropriate group to be posting this question
but I desperately need some advice! I would like to by a digital
camera/camcorder but am on an extremely limited budget. There is a

I've done the unspeakable and I think I'm happy!01 Apr 2007 18:24 GMT14
Well folks, it brought tears to my eyes and a dark veil of sadness over me,
but I have sold the old Noct this afternoon.  It was hard parting with it,
but I got what I wanted for it so the sadness dissipated when the customer
walked away.  I'm going to miss my baby, but if I add a ...

Jobo Giga One charger source in UK?01 Apr 2007 12:25 GMT1
The charger for my Giga One has failed. No volts output at all. I've
opened it up but can't see anything obviously wrong. Output is 5V at
500mA. Any suggestions for where to source a replacement in the UK?

Here are a couple of my initial efforts using my newly infrared-
converted D60.
First, a scene as it looked through my 20D:
D50 - D80 comparison01 Apr 2007 07:19 GMT5
I recently bought a Nikon D80 as an upgrade to my D50: comparison between is
interesting. Obviously the D80 has more bells and whistles than the D50
(i.e. more 'functionality'), but:

Coolpix 3100 turns off after splash screen01 Apr 2007 06:20 GMT11
My coolpix 3100 regularly dies just after it powers up - it gets as
far as the 'coolpix' splash screen then dies, retracting its lens.
Have tried new batteries, a different CF card and resetting all
settings to default.

RAW-Friendly Picasa Replacements?01 Apr 2007 03:41 GMT10
I shoot RAW from my Nikon D50 and it's often desirable to weed through
a large number of images, keeping ones with the best sharpness
(assuming all other things are equal).  I'm currently using Picasa 2
to sort through the digital negatives but there are some issues...
