Nikon Coolpix 885 seems slow: Memory Type or Batteries?16 Apr 2007 02:08 GMT4
I have a Nikon Coolpix 885.  It seems to me that the camera has slowed
down over the years.
1.  When I press the button to take a picture there seems to be a
delay before the camera actually takes the picture.
Olympus u760 & u760SW16 Apr 2007 01:29 GMT3

There is nothing on the Olympus web site about the SW version!

With 12/16bit RAW do you still need an ND Grad15 Apr 2007 22:49 GMT64
I take a lot of landscape photos, so an ND Grad filter is always to
hand. Until now I've always shot in JPEG as I was too daunted by the
prospect of post processing RAW files. However I've decided to give
RAW a try, mainly prompted by how easy Adobe lightroom is to use, but

Is a UV filter still needed on a digital lens?15 Apr 2007 17:24 GMT27
I have always in the past thrown on a UV filter to protect my lens and
eliminate haze.   I recently transitioned to a digital SLR and was about to
order a lens that I will need to get new filters for.   This got me
thinking... is a UV filter still beneficial and or does the ...
Full frame or crop?15 Apr 2007 07:08 GMT7
Should a wildlife shooter stick with a 1.6x? It would seem so.
Although the 5D with the 24-105 makes a sweet walk around.

Faulty Nikon Coolpix 410015 Apr 2007 00:08 GMT2
I've had the above camera for about 2 years now. I was carrying it in
my bag when a bottle of mineral water burst and I think it got a bit
damp. Now, whenever I switch it on it zooms in constantly. I've tried
leaving it for a few days to dry it out and fiddling with the
Canon A710IS, 2 questions14 Apr 2007 23:06 GMT7
Hi all. I just picked up my new toy today and have a couple questions.
When in "P" mode, the camera seems to meter/set exposure settings but
completely ignores whether I have the flash turned on or not
Also, is there any way to figure out what the ISO settings are when
Is 5.0 megapixels enough?14 Apr 2007 22:59 GMT12
I have a Canon SD450 5.0mp camera and wanted to know if I will be able
to have some 11x14 or 16x20 prints made from some pictures I plan on
taking. Is 5mp enough to get these size enlargements without too much
distortion?  I am not looking for studio quality prints, just pictures
"That's a REALLY nice 1500mm lens you have there"14 Apr 2007 21:48 GMT51
That's what this cardinal looks to be saying.
Nikon Fieldscope 82mm + D80 = 1500mm (equiv) of exquisite optics and
rendition.
Full frame, no post-camera processing except to reduce in size to 18% of
Canon Aperture Bracketing14 Apr 2007 21:26 GMT16
Anyone else think that aperture bracketing would be a good feature on Canon
DSLR's?
If you are shooting with a big aperture, it is not always practical to use
the DOF preview button, or calculate DOF, to ensure that all the subjects
