Lightroom - two questions19 Apr 2007 19:33 GMT11
hey folks,
im enjoying LR's ability to allow changes w/o commitment fears, and
unlimited undo. but thinking of the future im wondering:
1) if switching machines or platforms, can users bring their LR
How much information does jpeg lose?19 Apr 2007 17:56 GMT37

Return to Luray Caverns19 Apr 2007 16:35 GMT10
A few weeks ago I posted my intention to visit Luray Caverns, VA, and
asked for some photography advice. With your advice I visited the
facility, took some photographs, and posted a few to

focus bracketing19 Apr 2007 07:11 GMT19
There is lots of talk aboyt exposure bracketing, which I agree is (almost)
useless with RAW.
However, with current autofocus cameras, what would be extremely useful
would be focus bracketing. But apparently this does not exist.

Does it exist?18 Apr 2007 21:15 GMT4
Does a video camera exist that gives at least standard TV-level
resolution (480 lines) with all the manual controls of a $30,000
camera, but for less than $7,000? If so, what is it? If not, what is
the point of charging so much for all those controls?
HELP!  Can't figure out how to share album online18 Apr 2007 21:13 GMT1
I really love my new digital camera and enjoyed taking LOTS of
pictures during our 5 month trip to Baja.  Now I'd like to be able to
share pictures with friends.  I'm trying to load pictures from Adobe
Photoshop Album starter edition 3.0 to "Webshots" and I can't figure
Virtual tours18 Apr 2007 20:04 GMT1
Two years ago we tried Virtual Tours using someone else and didn't
notice a difference to our business.
All I can say now is WOW and thanks to http://www.panpics.co.uk.
ISO question18 Apr 2007 17:26 GMT22
Does increasing the ISO setting on a digital camera do the same thing as
opening the shutter?  If so, is there any info on the shutter stop
equivalent for a given increase in ISO?
Toasted 20D?18 Apr 2007 16:11 GMT8
My 2 year old 20D doesn't release shutter anymore. Became useless
right in the middle of my trip to the NY Auto show. No Errors, no
issues with anything else, it even displays 'busy' when clicking but
nothing happens. I am not a professional so have hardly used it
Truprint, Asda, or buy a Selphy?18 Apr 2007 14:55 GMT12
Almost everyone in my family owns some sort of digital camera but unlike the
old celluloid days, the images seem to stay on a hard disk instead of making
it onto those quaint 6" x 4" bits of paper which could be handed round for
grannies and ageing aunts to coo over.
What if Fuji doubled the sensor size?18 Apr 2007 14:03 GMT21
Going from a 1/1/7" and doubling its size in 2 dimensions, which would
produce a sensor similar in size to an Olympus 4/3rds or about 2/3rds
the the size of an APS-C sensor.  Put it in a decent camera body
coupled to a reasonable f.l. zoom, like a 28-130mm equivalent.
Battery eliminator for Canon S3?18 Apr 2007 13:34 GMT10
I'd like to avoid paying upwards of $50 for a "genuine" CA-PS700
battery eliminator.
Can anybody suggest a known-good, cheaper alternate?
Sony H5 or Do I Wait for the H7?18 Apr 2007 12:48 GMT2
I have a dilemma as we have a Disney Vacation scheduled for May 11th
and I am in need of a new digital camera.  I have utilized the Sony
707 over the past five and a half years but I am now encountering
problems and technology has passed it by.
