At 105mm & ISO100 my Canon Speedlite 580EX has a guide number of 58
(meters).  At ISO3200 (maximum ISO of the Canon 20D) the 'effective' guide
number becomes 328.  My lens has a maximum aperture of f/2.8.  This
indicates that in darkness, the maximum distance from the flash, at ...

Which lenses to go with03 Feb 2007 17:44 GMT51
Ya I have been racking my brains on this and have started a couple of
threads about a few different lenses, and I am down to these lenses:
Nikon 18-70 DX ED, 18-55 DX ED, 55-200 ED, 70-300 non-ED, and the Sigma
70-300 APO Macro. I am looking at the 2 wide angle lenses as good
OS X, where have my photos gone?03 Feb 2007 15:00 GMT17
At last I've started going through my RAW files. When I connect my
camera to my Mac the RAW images are imported into iPhoto automatically,
I've set up a double click to lauch PhotoShop - though what starts, I

RAW and JPEG03 Feb 2007 14:38 GMT11
Interesting thing yesterday shooting with a Canon Digital Rebel
(350XT). I used settings for both RAW (CR2) and JPEG capture for each
picture. Visually, looking at the results and comparing (without any
touchup) each picture, some RAW images looked better from camera and
fast memory card is a must03 Feb 2007 14:36 GMT3
I've always used a 66x Sandisk in my digital camera and thought it was

cards but now I know from my experience it's not true. I own a FZ-7 ...

at times, and other times they are just not as good.
I am ready to try sending some photos to a lab out of the area, I am ...

Help - Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 and Genrad Strobotac02 Feb 2007 20:41 GMT6
Maybe someone can help, I'm trying to trigger a Stobotac with a
Panasonic Lumix using a Wein HSHSB hot shoe adapter. Funny thing is,
I've taken it to 2 different camera shops and they manage to get the
thing to work somewhat but back at the office, no luck.
