I am looking for any additional comments on the DMC-LZ5.
Regulars will recall that I recently asked for suggestions re: a p&s
around $200. Many people seem to be happy with the DMC-LZ5. I expect to
pull the trigger on this online purchase this week.

I'm contemplating purchasing a camcorder to record student
presentations.  I think I know generally what I want after some
research, but would appreciate advice on a couple of thing.

Some time ago I took an account with Pixmania in order to
buy a camera from them. The price was higher then announced

A Nikon 85mm 1.8 is $400.; an 85mm 1.4 is $1100.
Is the extra stop really worth all that extra expense? Why not just up
the ISO to compensate for those shots that really need the speed?
Am I missing something?

I have a very lengthy process for doing video restoration of old video
footage.  I can get the video very clean, however am left with old
original dirt and dust marks from the camera all over the place after
the footage is cleaned up.  Kind of natural since it's from the 60's,

Well, just thought I would let you know that after experimenting with many
different lenses, that I now have the perfect tools to get exactly what
photos I want!
