HP vs Epson paper?13 Feb 2007 09:16 GMT10
Just bought an HP 8250 and discover I seem to prefer Epson
paper but I'm concerned about making archival prints which I
hope will last a long long time.  I was also under an
impression that the printer and the paper should be of the

I am considering an upgrade to my graphics card. It would seem that by
current standards, its ancient.
Will a better graphics card result in better (faster) Photoshop cs2
performance?

Making a jpeg look better than it really is?13 Feb 2007 04:03 GMT48
I had to put my cat to sleep three weeks ago.  She died very young and I
never got really decent pictures of her.  All that I have are a few
jpegs that are 480 by 640 and about 70 to 80 kb each.  All the more sad
because, although she was a stray, she was really gorgeous.
Can high mAh NiMH's damage older cameras?13 Feb 2007 04:03 GMT38
My Oly C5050 came with 1700mAh batteries, so I have just used
that level and not changed.
But I'm kind of curious.  I see 2700mAh NiMH batteries out there
and wondering - If I purchase those and use them in the C5050,

Spyder2 calibration problem13 Feb 2007 03:17 GMT5
Recently aqcuired Spyder2 Suite colorimeter and software. Problem: the
colorimeter sits dead center of the LCD screen, exactly where the pop-
up window for the RGB sliders also sits. Can't calibrate as a result
inasmuch the sliders are obscured and the pop-up window messes with

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 TESTED !12 Feb 2007 22:25 GMT13
I had the opportunity to use this lens this week on my 20D. Like all
Canon EF-S lenses it was designed to be used on the Canon cameras
with
a cropped sensor. With the 20D's 1.6x crop the lens gives a 16mm

Just got back from our vacation in Tasmania.  Took over 1200 pictures
with my new Canon Digital Rebel XTi (EOS 400D for you non-US folk!).
This is my first DSLR, and my first major picture-taking expedition with it.
