Who buys cameras from Home Depot?14 Feb 2007 04:46 GMT7
I've been tracking the price of the Canon S3 IS at
resellerratings.com and was astonished when I found this:

Keep in mind that the list price of the camera is US$400.
Nimh battery not as full as alkaline's?14 Feb 2007 03:55 GMT32
I just bought a two sets of 4 Energizer 2500mAh batteries yesterday. One
set came with a charger. I used that charger to charge both of the sets.
It took nine hours to finish charging each set (as indicated by the
turning off of the LED light on the charger and the warmth of the
HP Photosmart 318, Always Thinks Batteries are Low14 Feb 2007 03:30 GMT4
I have a HP Photosmart 318 camera, and the problem is that it never
thinks the batteries inside of it are charged.  It will complain of low
battery life, even if I've inserted fresh AA batteries that read over
1.5V using a Digital Multimeter.  I've tried leaving the battery
Looking for a decent lens for my D5014 Feb 2007 01:07 GMT5
Ok I just went through buying a lens kit (Sigma 18-50 & 55-200mm kit)
and was appalled at the lack of clarity at 18mm and at 200mm. I guess
paying 200 bucks for 2 lenses was too good to be true.
I am looking for a lens that  zooms in to 200mm without loosing
reddish color on some photos13 Feb 2007 23:46 GMT2
I am printing  some photos from a recent trip.  Editing them on Adobe
PhotoShop, as I always do.
I'm printing 4 to a sheet --2 top- and 2 at the bottom of the paper.
The 2 on the bottom are coming out with a reddish tinge.2 on top are
Lenses for D8013 Feb 2007 23:16 GMT13
I'm in need of free advice.
Just brought a Nikon D80 and I looking for lenses to work with it.
I'm thinking about brands.  Your thoughts on other brands for the D80?
I do a little of everything, except weddings.
Nimh chargers have limits?13 Feb 2007 22:15 GMT11
Hi all again:
Just a short question: can I use a charger for batteries up to 850 mAh
AAA batteries to charge AAA batteries of 900 mAh?

Older Nikon 70-210 D f4-5.6 vs Nikon 70-300 ED13 Feb 2007 16:43 GMT19
I am looking at the older 70-210 f4-5.6 D version, which apparently
has a pretty fast focus, has a push-pull zoom, and is supposed to have
crisp images across the focal/zoom range. I have heard that the Nikon
70-300 ED, non VR "cheapy" version, is really soft at 300mm and that
Coolpix 4500 - doesn't like 4gb CF card13 Feb 2007 16:34 GMT9
I ordered a new 4GB CF card for the Nikon D200 I ordered. I am keeping
my Coolpix 4500 as a 'vacation' camera - no need to lug around the SLR
for holiday snaps.
I popped the 4gb CF into the 4500, allowed the camera to format it,
Nikon Coolpix (3200) - slowed down by large memory chips or not?13 Feb 2007 16:23 GMT2
I have a 256 MB SD card now in my Coolpix 3200, and its fast. On my
previous camera, however, when I upgraded (from 8MB to 64MB) it slowed
it down significantly, on start-up and on saving pictures. Will I see
the same thing on the Nikon?
Viewing angle of screen13 Feb 2007 13:39 GMT5
Is there an inducstry standard for the angle at which I would view my
camera's LCD monitor screen in order to get the best image.
(Then I would adjust that image appearance for contrast, brightness,
etc.)
Newbie question - Difference between 2meg and 3Meg cameras ?13 Feb 2007 09:47 GMT7
OK. Apart from the obivous that one an take pictures with 3Mb
pixels.....
In terms of just using this camera for snapshots, nothing serious,
getting them printed out at 4x6 or 5x7 format....
