MPG movie files (I recorded on my Sony Cybershot) will not playback on my phone (Sony Ericsson k750i)16 Feb 2007 21:58 GMT7
I shot some mini movies on my Sony Cybershot camera (5 megapixel
thing) about 2 or 3 years ago.
I have the files saved on my hard drive (they are in *.MPG format) -
the videos play perfectly on my pc (and Mac)
Vixta automatically corrupts images?16 Feb 2007 21:36 GMT166
I read in an article today that Vista automatically adds noise to
images, as a copyright protection mechanism to prevent illegal copying
of images (and music and videos). The idea seems to be to go back to the
old times, when analog copies always degraded a bit. Can anybody ...
lcd moniters16 Feb 2007 21:27 GMT3
This has probably been discussed here already. I would like to download high
quality photos from the internet into a new computer then display them on  a
42" lcd moniter at the best possible quality. What PC system and video card
is best for resolution and aspect ratio etc?
Bizarre ?16 Feb 2007 20:56 GMT1
I just bought a Canon XTi, my first DSLR to replace Sony's half-decent
(literally - half of shots were perfect and half trash  !) W-5 P&S.
I think I understand why, at least in the default full auto mode, the
photos are a bit softer and darker and less saturated as compared to

My uncle Ron is poised to buy a pocket digital camera.  the Canons look as

but is it worth paying out for the image stabiliser for those low light long
distance shots, or is the image stabiliser an expensive gimmick?   thanks

would it be wasted for internet streaming?
Here's the vid (it's short)

(8 GB) SDHC in Canon Powershot S3 IS16 Feb 2007 07:18 GMT8
Does anyone have any experience with a 8 (or 4) GB SDHC memory card
(for instance Transcend 150x)
in a Canon Powershot S3 IS?
I wonder if it would be slower than a regular SD card because it uses
blocking warning?16 Feb 2007 06:00 GMT1
I am looking for more information on penalties during races. I thought
that blocking was used most
of the time to hold onto a position.

Is it important what's the origin of a camera (D200 or D80)?
I mean like Made in Taiwan or Made in Japan? Is there a difference?

First of all, I apologize - I understand this is a 1000th time this
question is brought up.
However, I read old posts until I got a headache and I still would
like to get a "fresh" advise.
