| Support of multiple core 64 bit processors and > 4GB RAM | 25 Jan 2007 17:08 GMT | 42 |
Just wondering if there is image processing software which can make full use of 64 bit processors with more than one core (i.e. Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad or equivalents from AMD) and which can use more than 4GB RAM (I know for instance of mainboards which take 8GB RAM)? Intel is ...

| Landscape Stitching & Lens Choice | 25 Jan 2007 17:07 GMT | 58 |
I'm finding some of the inexpensive stitching software available now is pretty good -- even astonishingly good, from where I sit. And it made me wonder. . . Would this affect one's choice of lens for shooting landscapes? It seems to me that one would previously need a ...

I am using two off camera Nikon SB-600 on tripods... of course using the Nikon D70 in Commander mode and both fire successfully. My question though, is how to set the camera or the SB-600's or both, to fire the SB-600's at their maximum flash output no matter how the

| IrfanView: Loses custom colours? | 25 Jan 2007 12:31 GMT | 7 |
I'm not sure if this is down to IrfanView, an XP Windows issue, or my user error. I used Canvas Size to add a border. I wasn't sure what colour would suit, so I decided I'd add several custom colours. After adding 6 carefully chosen colours to 6 little boxes, I chose one for

Every week I send an e-mail update to members of my club (not a photo club). As usual, I included a few jpegs in today's e-mail. My address is in the mailing list, and I was shocked to see that every jpeg had been converted to a much larger file titled "unknown". None of my

| DxO Optics outputs to 72dpi only on Canon 5D? | 25 Jan 2007 05:43 GMT | 8 |
I have DxO optics pro 3.5 on windows. Results look great, but I noticed it only outputs to 72 dpi (JPG or TIFF) and there is nothing I can do about it. On the "Output Sstings" tab it says 72 DPI is the maximum. If I choose "Keep Original" it defaults to 72 DPI. Comments?
