Not what you'd expect from a company like Kodak...except for length would be a good Super Bowl commercial. Tom G.

| Slow response - Question on Cannon A450 | 27 Jan 2007 17:46 GMT | 4 |
I am not sure what in my settings changed but whenever I take a picture now, the amount of time my Cannon power Shot A540 takes to "record" the pictre seems to be much longer (it takes a few seconds) than usual and it feels like I am waiting for eternity. I have my settings at ...

I've just posted a tutorial on how, in Photoshop, to turn a photo of the real world into one that looks like it is a macro shot of a model railway or similar construction for a bit of fun: <http://www.dimagemaker.com/article.php?articleID=850>

| P&S cameras plumb the depths Part II - Samsung's garbage | 27 Jan 2007 05:01 GMT | 1 |
What could be worse? I criticized some entry-level DSLRs because of their flimsy plastic shells. But, at least cameras like the Canon Rebel XTi take excellent pictures. Take a look at the results from this

| Pentax T30. Just one more example of why P&S is now a backwater | 27 Jan 2007 05:01 GMT | 12 |
And why DSLRs are dominating serious photography. 1. Crappy little 1/2.5 sensor. 2. Too many (7 meg) pixels crammed into the sensor. 3. a FAKE, PHONY image stabilization "program" that just raises ISO.

| Good results with Oly 4/3rds compared to Canon EF lenses? | 27 Jan 2007 01:50 GMT | 26 |
I've been looking at some of the work some buds have been doing with their cameras. One has a Canon and uses the same lenses on his digicam that he used on his 35mm fim cam. Another has an Olympus setup with the dedicated 4/3rds digital-only lens setup.

| D70s Burst Mode Slowdown | 27 Jan 2007 01:16 GMT | 6 |
I used to get about 3fps with my D70s + 80x CF when shooting JPEG. Now I only seem to get about 1 a second. When I take shots at 8000 / 3.5 in burst mode the display says r10 when doing a normal JPEG. I tried formatting the card and resetting the menus but it has made no effect.

| Newbie Question About Color Balance Problem in D70s ? | 26 Jan 2007 20:24 GMT | 16 |
I recently acquired a D70s and used it to shoot some indoor sporting event pictures this weekend that I'm not satisfied with. At times, with no adjustment to any camera settings, the color tone shifted back and forth between a very cool or blue tone to a rather warm or yellow ...

| Canon Speculation....OLED Displays? | 26 Jan 2007 20:07 GMT | 2 |
I've seen the usual speculation and rumors about the new crop (no pun intended :) ) of Canon DSLRs. More megapixels, self cleaning sensors etc. However, if I recall an article on Pop Photo sometime this past year, a Canon rep. made a statement to the effect that in 2007 we will

| Photos to cartoons | 26 Jan 2007 19:27 GMT | 18 |
A few years back, I used to go to, I believe, Kodaks site and use a function there to convert photos to fairly decent cartoons. I haven't seen it in a while. I did a Google search and found one lame program which I downloaded a trial version, and it was beyond weak. Anyone know of a ...
