low lag P & S digi-cam?03 Jan 2007 10:21 GMT5
My GF would like a new camera.
Sadly, she's tried and HATED my Canon a510, because
of the shutter lag.
Her current camera has zero lag, mainly because
Digital Camera Flash Units03 Jan 2007 09:50 GMT3
Digital Camera Flash Units
Digital cameras flash units come in many shapes and sizes. Low end
digital cameras include low energy built in flash units. High end
digital SLR cameras can support sophisticated external flash units
re.: Canon a510 1 gb sd card does not seem to work right03 Jan 2007 08:41 GMT2
The 16 mb card work. When i download pics using the computer, not all
my pics end up being downloaded. I get no errors . If i download from
camera all the pics are downloaded right. I formatted the card a couple
of times.
Is this NG history?03 Jan 2007 07:40 GMT39
It appears that once again, this entire NG has been usurped. I hate to
see this happen. I'm not a regular contributor, not even much of a
lurker. But I check it out occasionally to see what's going on in the
field and if there's anything I can use. Unfortunately, it's been taken
Canon BP-511, BP-511A and BP-512 batteries03 Jan 2007 05:19 GMT2
Looking at the Canon BP-511, BP-511A and BP-512 batteries, they all seem to
be the same. I have a Canon G6 and I use both the BP-511 from my old G5 and
the BP-511A that came with the G6. Now I am shopping for new batteries and
find a third available: the BP-512 also compatible ...
Canon 28-135mm IS ?03 Jan 2007 03:52 GMT13
Hi all, I'm looking to buy a lens for general use. I'm interested in the
Canon 28-135 IS, do any of you use this lens and is it the best option
in it's price range for that type of zoom?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Canon 55-200 or 75-300???03 Jan 2007 03:46 GMT7
Greetings from Vancouver Island B.C. Canada.  I got my Canon XTi with the
basic kit 18-55 lens for Christmas and I am totally impressed.  This is
my first DSLR so I am doing alot of reading here and elsewhere.  My question
is this.  I am buying a zoom lens and my budget is fixed to ...

Who is he?02 Jan 2007 23:56 GMT11
Someone, who is a regular participant in these groups, has a program that
allows one to work on photos and save them.  Said photos can then be
reloaded back into many cameras.  I am using a Sony DSC-F828 and he said it
was one of the OK cameras.  I know I'm not making myself very ...
Clear glass or plastic02 Jan 2007 23:25 GMT6
I am thinking of making a box for a camera and need a small piece glass
or plastic material for the
front to shoot through.  Can anybody recommend where could I find
something like this.  It doesn't have to be large but I would not want
Adjusting white balance on camera - and an intro02 Jan 2007 22:38 GMT8
As you can probably tell from my previous question, I'm pretty new to
digital cameras. I don't know if it's customary on this group but I'll
give a bit of an intro to myself.
My main area of interest is what I guess you'd call "happy snaps",
External light mrter required.02 Jan 2007 22:30 GMT26
I want to get my mother's old Contax IIIa
camera working again because of its fast f1.5
lens.
But the light meter is completely broken and
older cameras, where do they go?02 Jan 2007 22:19 GMT16
I was just wondering where do all the older models of digital
cameras go.  With the rate of new models being introduced its obvious
that the old ones aren't all sold out.  I've seen some on
refurbdepot.com and similar sites that are almost the same price they
Sony A100 focusing02 Jan 2007 21:56 GMT17
I have a Sony A100 DSLR and its focus is terrible in less-than-ideal
conditions.  In dim light (not even t-h-a-t dark), the flash flashes
several times and takes several seconds to focus before the picture is
taken.
Kodak EasyShare C743 Camera Video Problem02 Jan 2007 18:55 GMT3
I have a C743 camera with a problem. Here is the email I sent to Kodak
(after they told me to buy QuickTime Pro to edit the video on my
computer):
"Thanks for your reply. However, I didn't intend to ask how I could
