Correcting incorrect white balance setting.08 Jan 2007 00:57 GMT6
Made a big mistake today. When out and took a whole bunch of shots, grey
clouds, stormy sea, etc. But, when I looked later (taking some shots in
a cosy pub) I found I'd the white balance set wrong.
In the pub I was about to adjust the white balance setting to tungsten
DImager/Imatch/ThumbsPlus/ACDsee07 Jan 2007 23:26 GMT3
I am searching for a program to archive and search for pictures
quickly. All images should contain the tags in IPTC or XMP format. I
have it boiled down to IDImager, Imatch, ThumbsPlus or ACDsee. If you
have any experience with them (positive and negative) or even have

camera setting ?07 Jan 2007 19:56 GMT1
While checking out the instruction booklet that came with my
Canon A710is I came upon a setting for using auxillary tele and wa
lenses.  Does anybody have any idea what exactly that setting does, it
apears to have some bearing on the image stabilizer.  Also they refer
Picture quality07 Jan 2007 19:47 GMT4
I am fairly new to taking digital pictures and would appreciate any
suggestions.
My problem is that many pictures I take appear to be very "grainy" looking.
Especially indoor shots. How might I correct the problem. I am using an
carousel to video07 Jan 2007 18:18 GMT1
I need a real time slide carousel to video out converter. What ideas do
you have to do this? I thought that a good camera with a transfer lens
between the slide projector and the camera would be a simple and
effective idea. I used this system many years ago with a super 8mmm

I thought I'd pick your brains, and see what other's had to say.  The
Photo Website that will print Captions?07 Jan 2007 14:26 GMT3
Does anyone know of an online photo printing service that will actually
print the captions you assign to pictures?  If not, is there any other
way to get captions to appear on your prints?
Thanks!
Cleaning Pentax sensor07 Jan 2007 12:07 GMT4
I friend has a Pentax dSLR and has dust on the sensor (yes I know it
isn't really on the sensor).  It won't blow off.  I suggested a
cleaning kit but she said that she had read that Pentax has a film in
front of the protective glass that will dissolve if anything wet is
F717 problem07 Jan 2007 05:00 GMT3
I pulled my trusty Sony F717 out of the closet and fired it up.  In full
auto mode, the viewfinder is showing dull grey sky to be bright pink.  The
pictures turn out looking the same way.  The reflection of the flash in
some pictures (off a mirror for example) turns out to be bright ...
D200 On camera flash recycle time07 Jan 2007 03:42 GMT13
I use the built in flash on my D200 to trigger my studio flash, however,
sometimes the recycle time is very long.  Normally it recycles in less
than a second (faster than the studio lights), but sometimes (usually
after burst of 5-6 rapid frames) it can take 10-15 secs to recycle ...

lost some photos on FZ706 Jan 2007 21:27 GMT4
I am currently in Costa Rica. About 30 photos have disappeared from the
SD card in my FZ7, in their place are two black photos with the date
0.0.0 when viewed in the camera. Could it be just an index that has
screwed up and the photos will be there when I get home and use a card
