Canon 30D (and 40D?)10 Jan 2007 17:59 GMT10
I noticed that big rebates are now being offered when buying the 30D,
and in Canada prices have dropped majorly for this camera.
Could this kind of price activity presage the appearance of a
successor model?

Kodak Easyshare Z710: Any Opinions10 Jan 2007 17:00 GMT1
I googled this group and found nothing about this camera except in
foreign language sales lists.  Just wondering if anyone has any
experience with it, and why no one seems enthusiastic about it.
Canon 17-40mm/4L and the 5D?10 Jan 2007 15:37 GMT80
Does anyone really use this lens on their 5D or 1Ds?  After looking at these
tests shots I'm not sure if anyone in this group would actually use this
lens.

Uploading 25000000 pixels for Costco print?10 Jan 2007 15:18 GMT36
I'm trying to print a poster at Costco.  The upload page refuses my
uploads; so I started an investigation.  A binary search lead to the
following 3:2 ratio values:
     6123 x 4082 = 24994086    uploaded fine
Yashica Mat 124 G - Crank Stuck10 Jan 2007 14:52 GMT11
I recently received a Yashica Mat 124 G for Christmas, only to find
that after loading it with film and taking the first shot, the crank on
the right side of the camera was stuck. After playing around with it
for a while, I manged to get the crank to turn one revolution, but then
Canon TS lens for Nikon mount?10 Jan 2007 13:16 GMT24
Hey, has anyone here converted a wide-angle Canon TS lens for a Nikon
mount? I want to do some TS stuff, but Nikon only offers the 85mm these
days and I want to do landscapes.
Pocket sized with SLR features10 Jan 2007 13:01 GMT22
I'm looking for ideas.
I do a lot of photography, mostly just hobby stuff for myself. I am
still pretty attached to my 35mm SLR. However, travel photography is my
ultimate favorite and I am *sick* to death of lugging my SLR and lenses

Black and white in Photoshop (how-to)10 Jan 2007 07:18 GMT1
The ironic thing is I don't really like B/W that much for my own
images, but I love to experiment with sepia tones, and other types of
'duo' -tone.  But these all start as grayscale images, and after some
experimenting, I found there's a lot of difference between how image ->
