Flash Suggestions for D70s14 Jan 2007 15:37 GMT9

doesn't work well for me.  (red eye, wash out)
Price is not a big issue, but I do want value.
I don't need a lot of bells and whistles.
Memory Card Error Canon A710IS14 Jan 2007 14:32 GMT4
I use an AData SDHC 4 GB memory card with my Canon A710IS.  I transfer
the pictures I take to my computer with a memory card reader.  I've
been using these products for the past few months with no problems.
Today, when I connected the memory card to my computer, I got a message

Tripods question14 Jan 2007 11:06 GMT4
I'm looking to buy a tripod - it's only a basic bit of kit but I was
wondering what things to look for and what to avoid in purchasing a

Price is a big consideration but I don't mind paying a bit extra for
First try at RAW using RawShooter 2006 1.014 Jan 2007 10:53 GMT9
I have just downloaded and installed RawShooter 2006 1.0

As I understand it to process Nikon RAW you can only use
4gb SD card recommendation14 Jan 2007 10:18 GMT2
I have just got a new 10M pixel camera and am looking for a fast 4Gb SD

Sandisk Extreme 3 and the Panasonic ones seem to have good test bench write
ups but I  wondered if anyone can give a good "in the field" recommendation
Working with RAW for Dummies14 Jan 2007 07:57 GMT14
Ah, so I've just come back from my first full day of shooting.  I now
have 142 RAW images.
First, is RAW truly that?  Absolutely no adjustments applied?  Where can
I read up on how to take better pictures in RAW?  I'm getting rather
Difference between lenses for film and lenses for digital?14 Jan 2007 05:00 GMT22
Is there a difference between lenses made for photographing with film
vs. digital photographing? I've read that there is. I ask because I
want to buy one of the new Pentax K cameras that will allow me to use
my film lenses. If there is a difference, is it so small as to make the
Sensor Cleaning Images - Monster Dust Particle13 Jan 2007 23:39 GMT9
I know sensor cleaning is probably 'old hat' to most of you by now but I
still thought I'd post a link to the images of a sensor cleaning that I did
today.

Suggestion--keep your camera manual in the bathroom13 Jan 2007 23:12 GMT64
When you get your new camera, what is more exciting: play with the new
camera or read the manual? I don't think any normal person would say
the latter. Besides, those inscrutable volumes are impossible to
understand unless you have some experience with the camera.
Can You Use Additional Lenses with Canon A710?13 Jan 2007 20:46 GMT1

Is there anything that can quickly resize a group of photos down to
some percentage via Windows Explorer (WinXP)?  For example,
highlighting a group of photos, right clicking them and selected a
percentage.
