How to get great color?31 Jan 2007 02:24 GMT4
I'm hoping one of you Photoshop geniuses or digital photo experts
might provide some insight to a problem I'm having.
I have a digital photo processed by the lab -- I receive a Photoshop
PSD with an "embedded" color profile of "Adobe/RGB."
Dedicated amateur? Or hack...?31 Jan 2007 02:06 GMT37
I just spent a couple of days putting together a few pages of thumbnails,
and I'm not impressed.
I mean, it was easy putting together my favorites in various categories, but
looking back at the whole, I feel like "iDwight Photos". You know, generic

Greet to group,
I have just heard that jpg is made degraded by US government.
Deliberate! You do not get 100% of photograph. This is like the
selective availability of GPS by America Government. This is big shock

I was following the discussion and started doing some searching.
I found this app called Better JPEG that says it does some key

White balance correction30 Jan 2007 18:12 GMT1
I have hundreds of photos of fairly similar scenes (ice and
snowcovered ice), which I'm going to classify into different regions
automatically. The photoes were taken with a canon eos300D with auto
white balance. Using the camera with auto white balance was a big
D200 Focusing Problem30 Jan 2007 17:12 GMT23
I'm having a heck of a time keeping focus on moving objects w/ my D200.
I'm using a 200-400 f/4 on it, and it's set to "Active" focusing, I've
tried all sorts of combinations on the D200.
I set it to Constant focusing (Of course),  I've tried the AF area mode

help with the Nikon D50 manual mode30 Jan 2007 16:33 GMT2
I was wondering about an issue with my D50. When in manual mode, it
does not always trigger... (it does 99% of the time though).
Isn't the whole point of the M mode to leave all settings to the user,
so we have complete control over everything?
Minox digital cameras30 Jan 2007 16:27 GMT15
I have an old 35mm Minox EL miniature camera, approximately 25+ years
old. I check their website, and it appears that the company is still
independent in Germany, and also produce digital cameras. I am just
curious whether they still make good cameras, and still doing well

JPEG degradation30 Jan 2007 10:19 GMT217
I was reading a photography book by Bryan Peterson and he says something in
it I never knew.  He said that opening JPEG's over and over........with time
they will degrade to the point to where they dont open anymore.
My question is, if on a screen saver you are doing a slide show ...
