SD to CF adapters?27 Dec 2006 19:08 GMT13
Has anyone had experience with SD to Compact Flash adapters?
I have 2 cameras here, one takes SD and the other CF, so it would be nice if I could just use SD
cards with both.
Thanks.

Why shop at B&H27 Dec 2006 18:26 GMT32
Her's an example of why. I bought a Penatx K10D camera and a Pentax
AF360 flash from them. I had a problem with everything being
underexposed when using the flash, to the point of getting dark photos
with the EV at +3. Penatx, after an exchange of phots, said it's
Best Image Quality Camera27 Dec 2006 18:07 GMT7
Best image quality camera for $600 or £300.
I would like a G7 but have heard about the noise problem.
I want good colour and good quality sharp images.
Will this camera be good enough. I'm not always going to be printing
Reordering slideshow photos27 Dec 2006 17:51 GMT4
I was in India for three weeks and have nearly 1,000 photos.  In the
evening, I'd look over the day's photos in the camera.  I might enlarge some
and save them.  The saved enlargement would then be out of numerical
sequence with the original photos in my camera's card.  Now that ...
Optical Zoom versus Cropping on PC27 Dec 2006 17:45 GMT7
Here's a thought I had and I wonder if any of you have experience in
this.  Can you get the same effect with cropping a picture on your PC
as you can with a large optical zoom on 6-8 megapixel cameras, assuming
your intent is to have 4x6 or 5x8 snapshots?
Possible to make remote shutter release for Canon 400D?27 Dec 2006 17:45 GMT4
Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew much about the remote release port
on the Canon 400D/Rebel. It looks like a standard headphone jack, from
what I can tell. The question is, can I easily make my own  remote
release by wiring up an old headphone lead and a 2-stage button, or
Canon PowerShot G727 Dec 2006 17:15 GMT1
The Canon Powershot G7 is the kind of camera that not only makes you
feel like a better photographer, but helps you become one too, mixing
both comprehensive and happily reliable hand holding features with a
plethora of real photographic controls that, along with build quality,

HDR Problem27 Dec 2006 16:04 GMT4
Using Photoshop CS 2, having problems with the Merge to HDR function.
I've taken a series of photographs in RAW capture mode.  These are
generally -2, -1, 0, +1, +2 EV.  When I load these five images into the
function, I get "There is not enough dynamic range in these photos to

Picture Tagging & Archiving27 Dec 2006 06:13 GMT13
I have quite a lot of images that I would like to tag and archive. For
that I have the following requirements:
1) The tags have to be embedded into the files, i.e. not just into a
database.
IrfanView 3.99 closes spontaneously27 Dec 2006 05:55 GMT10
Has anyone had the latest version of IrfanView (3.99) shut down when
you're doing something like trying to add images for a panorama? Other
mouse movements seem to trigger this random vanishing act but that's
the only one I can repeat. No other apps behave this way on my machine
Philips 7" Digital Picture Frame27 Dec 2006 03:23 GMT7
I just bought this, and am having trouble.  I loaded my photos onto a 1 GB
SD memory card, and set the frame to show a slideshow.  Everything works
fine for anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes, and then the frame just goes blank.
Sometimes there is intermittent flashes on the screen, ...
