IrfanView - Remove JPG Options dialog?29 Dec 2006 20:17 GMT4
Is there an option that's so far eluded me that will prevent the
'JPEG/GIF Save Options' window from appearing every time I save a JPG
please? It comes up inconveniently over the scroll bar, and is
redundant to me 99% of the time anyway. But if I close it, the new
N.Y. Times claims it's all over for Canon and Nikon!29 Dec 2006 20:02 GMT24
The Times today had a full page add claiming, "If you want clear pictures
you don't want a Canon or Nikon."  They also claim that only 20% of Canon
and Nikon lenses have IS/VR.  They also claim that the Sony A100 is the only
camera to give clear sharp images with all their lenses ...

compact digital SLR camera in the market29 Dec 2006 19:48 GMT7
I wonder if anyone still remember about the Olympus OM-1 and OM-2 when
they were introduced in the market in the early and mid 1970s? It was a
small and compact size that it fit easily in my hand. I must say that I
have relatively small size hand, and this topic may not interest ...

condition Canon lenses that I used with a Canon 35 mm SLR. They are 50

the case that Adobe is keeping this a proprietary format?
Competitive European (German) digital cameras29 Dec 2006 16:13 GMT2
My first SLR camera was an East German Praktica. I noticed that they
are still producing  cameras, and has digital SLR products in the
market. My question is why the German cameras do not compete in the
camera market in North America?  Are they just simply too expensive,
Canon G7 -Do people find the need to copy images and video back to the Camera?29 Dec 2006 13:15 GMT1
I can't figure out a way to copy avi videos back to the Canon G7
memory card once they've been downloaded to a PC, even with its
own Canon Software.  That's very inconvenient for me.
Some digital camera that I've had for years functions just like a

Top of the Rock29 Dec 2006 08:44 GMT5
I think we were discussing this a couple of days ago. I went to the
observation deck at the top of Rockefeller Center today. I carried a
photo backpack with a tripod dangling from it. At the security
checkpoint on the ground floor, they told me I wasn't allowed to open
Apparent Depth of field with Canon 20D29 Dec 2006 06:23 GMT21

surprised to see that the viewfinder image appears to have way more
