Sensors04 Dec 2006 17:11 GMT10
I'm guessing that a 1/2.5" sensor is larger than a 1/2.3" sensor. Is
this correct?
Also, does Sony make most of the point and shoot sensors used in
today's cameras (various companies)?

Got a question about this elusive PPI / DPI figure...
Here's my understanding:
75-100 ppi for screen resolution
150 ppi minimum for inkjet printing
Removing delete function on Canon Powershot sd60004 Dec 2006 11:20 GMT14
I have a Canon Powershot sd600, but one thing bothers me about it. The
delete picture button is too easy to use. If I pass my camera out at a
party, it's too easy for someone to decide they don't like a picture
and delete it. It's just a quick stroke down and a confirmation.
Kodak C360 date resets on battery removal04 Dec 2006 11:06 GMT18
I'm confused.  Is the date/time supposed to reset if you replace the
batteries in a C360?  If I open the door and close it like I would if I
replaced the batteries, the date and time are reset to their default,
the camera askes me to reset the time and date.  I never had to do this
Is this a good deal?  HP Photosmart E327 for $77.04 Dec 2006 10:03 GMT1
A few have inquired here about decent entry level units for less than
$100.  I see my local TARGET has an HP Photosmart E327 which has 5
megapixels and a 4X OPTICAL zoom for $77.  They also offer a Lexar
256MB SD card for $9.98.

panorama photo's on HP 1280 using roll paper04 Dec 2006 05:02 GMT3
I'm considering buying a HP Deskjet 1280 but I'm worried about the
maximum paper size it can handle.
Is anyone who owns one able to tell me if it will print 'endlessly' on
roll paper ? I installed just the driver (don't own the printer) and
Photo Calendars04 Dec 2006 01:32 GMT5
I would like to put together a calendar for my family members. It would
have about 14 pages, printed on both sides and be made up from 8.5" by
11" sheets. It would open up to 11 by 17 inches.
Preferably the work would be done by an on line company.

Best COMPACT digital for macro03 Dec 2006 22:01 GMT7
I am looking for a replacement for my venerable Nikon Coolpix 950, which
could focus as close as 2 cm and took great macro photos with almost no
effort on my part. My criteria are (2) better than the 950's 2 megapixels
and (b) as small as possible. In the past I used my Coolpix ...
Monitor for Photoshop Elements03 Dec 2006 21:02 GMT1
I'm looking to buy a new flat panel monitor for editing in Elements.
I'm an above average amateur but not a dedicated full Photoshop guy.
I've heard well of the Sony SDM HX95 19 inch. I'm in the UK and don't
want to spend more than £300 tops. Is the Sony good or are there
Need help trying to recover pics from corrupt sd card03 Dec 2006 20:01 GMT7
Sorry long post but want to be as thorough as possible...
I made a stupid mistake and decided not to download pictures to my notebook
each night while on a cruise vacation last week. I brought a 512m, 256m and
a couple 128m cards with me and figured it'd be enough storage.
Custom Curves for the D200?03 Dec 2006 19:21 GMT27
I've been playing with my D200 today and I want to upload custom curves to
it.  Can curves made for the D2x be uploaded to the D200 and work properly?
Or do I have to start over and make and save them specifically for the D200.
Thanks.
