My Canon A520 suddenly started failing. When I start it up it shows the Cannon startup screen, hangs for 15 seconds then emits seven short beeps in fast succession. Then the screen goes black for 15 seconds and the unit powers off.

I am dwelling what to buy between Canon A540 and Canon SD600 . They both have 6 MP and the second costs 40 bucks more. But besides the price, the factors I am evaluating (and make me confused) are:

If I shoot RAW with a D40 and a D70 both fitted with a 18-70 A-FS, and process the results in the same photo editing software, would there be any difference in sharpness, resolution, colour accuracy etc? Thanks

I have a Kodak digital camera and have loaded the interface software on my PC. Now when I am not using the interface the process Easyshare.exe seems a permanance resident on my process table taking up 48 Megabytes of memory. I have not used the interface since several re-boots ago ...

I am trying to print out photos with my 1280 and I want to print them out in landscape. I am using 8.5 x 11 photo paper and want to load the printer with the 11" first instead of loading it with the short side. I can't just rotate the photo in my software for various reasons that

Are my friends & relations just a bit lazy, or is it a general thing that if photos are Emailed, or printed & posted snail mail, or directed from a commercial print firm, that rarely is their receipt acknowledged? Perhaps my photos don't merit that:)
