Note this passage from the document listed below. Has this been done in any commercial camera? "Resolution can be doubled by mechanically shifting a sensor a half pitch by a built-in piezoelectric actuator between the first and second

| feedback on Canon A710-IS compared to Sony DSC-N2 | 17 Dec 2006 21:43 GMT | 22 |
Help, I lost a prosumer(kodak) camera to the surf this summer. And I think my wife has replaced it this Christmas with a Sony DSC-N2. It's a shiney new compact with some neat features but only 3x optical zoom and it doesn't have IS. For the same money I could have the A710-IS ...

| Photoshop book recommendations | 17 Dec 2006 19:47 GMT | 10 |
Can anyone tell me if there is a particular Photoshop book which stands out of the crowd? I can use basic tools like straightening converging lines and basic clone brush work but that's as far as it goes. I totally suck at using layers (don't know why as I use them all day long ...

I have been using rechargeable Energizer 2300 mAh AA batteries for the past 2 years. Now, the batteries don't last much longer in my Canon S1 IS camera. Some times, I get low battery blinker soon after 10 pictures or so. I

| About a 3rd party lens. | 17 Dec 2006 17:56 GMT | 3 |
One of my friends in UK is buying a Canon EOS 350D (digital Rebel XT). He wants to use Tamron AF 18-200 mm F3.5 - F6.3 Di-II with it. How good is this lens compared to its price range? I see the lens has received some TIPA Award 2005 (Technical Image Press Association) for Best

| Lag time question | 17 Dec 2006 16:22 GMT | 19 |
I'm still learning about digital cameras (simpler point & shoot, not SLR's) and I have a question. I was looking at a few of them today and noticed that they don't have the instant response shutter that my Nikon SLR has. This is not
