| DO NOT ENLIST! THE IRAQ WAR IS A SHAM AND A FRAUD | 19 Dec 2006 10:42 GMT | 12 |
You know anyone getting rich off it? I do and they sure the hell aint' soldiers. Fighting and dying in another man's war is the oldest grift in the book. Don't buy into it. There's a reason Bush wants the most strongest, most highly trained, heavily armed males overseas and NOT on

| Where to buy cameras online | 19 Dec 2006 07:22 GMT | 11 |
I'm new to the world of buying a DSLR -- and in looking around and googling, etc., I've run across a slew of skeezy websites begging for my money. This doesn't exactly make me feel like paying with my credit card. There has got to be a handful of reputable websites out there

| HAVE YOU BEEN NAUGHTY OR NICE? | 19 Dec 2006 06:11 GMT | 21 |
Hard to believe that the Holiday Season is already upon us and Christmas is only (YIKES!) 10 days away. Have you been naughty or nice this year? And what do you hope will be under your tree? Mr. Divs knows that it's never too late to try to influence Santa:

| Epson 4990 vs. V700 | 19 Dec 2006 02:16 GMT | 2 |
I'm looking to buy a scanner that will allow me to scan a bunch of 6x6 and 35mm transparencies, and print them (at least, the 6x6 ones) to about a 20 x 30" size. Reviews of the 4990 and V700 that I've read indicate that both are very good, but is the V700 worth the extra

| Lens resolution versus pixel density | 18 Dec 2006 21:55 GMT | 4 |
There is alot of acrimony over exactly how much resolution a lens will support and how many megapixels a camera could be. So assuming you're only talking about the centre of the field using a lens of high quality stopped down what pixel density could it

Anyone connected up this camera to a telescope? I'm having a bit of a time figuring out the ideal mechanism for direct connect or eyepiece projection. Checked out the astro groups, but can't really find much regarding the connection. With the 48.5 mm thread, I suspect a series

I was just looking, and now I am wondering, do our eyes point forward (parallel relative to the vertical plane that would pass between them)? Thanks, Ron

| Correct Nikon NEF exoposure | 18 Dec 2006 13:03 GMT | 6 |
I was taking some shots of a goshawk today using NEF+JPG at ISO 200 on my D70. The JPG seems correctly exposed, the NEF has the highlights burned out. I usually shoot at EV -0.33, and JPG Fine Large, but wanted to try to get maximum image control photographing this bird. ...

| Difference between xD "H" & "M"? | 18 Dec 2006 10:24 GMT | 9 |
I've just purchased a camera that uses the xD format. It's the Fuji V10. I went to look for a larger card and saw these two types of memory. Both say it's compatible with this camera. Can someone please clarify?
