DO NOT ENLIST! THE IRAQ WAR IS A SHAM AND A FRAUD19 Dec 2006 10:42 GMT12
You know anyone getting rich off it? I do and they sure the hell aint'
soldiers. Fighting and dying in another man's war is the oldest grift
in the book. Don't buy into it. There's a reason Bush wants the most
strongest, most highly trained, heavily armed males overseas and NOT on
Where to buy cameras online19 Dec 2006 07:22 GMT11
I'm new to the world of buying a DSLR -- and in looking around and
googling, etc., I've run across a slew of skeezy websites begging for
my money.  This doesn't exactly make me feel like paying with my credit
card.  There has got to be a handful of reputable websites out there

HAVE YOU BEEN NAUGHTY OR NICE?19 Dec 2006 06:11 GMT21
Hard to believe that the Holiday Season is already upon us and
Christmas is only (YIKES!) 10 days away.  Have you been naughty or nice
this year?  And what do you hope will be under your tree?

Epson 4990 vs. V70019 Dec 2006 02:16 GMT2
I'm looking to buy a scanner that will allow me to scan a bunch of 6x6
and 35mm transparencies, and print them (at least, the 6x6 ones) to
about a 20 x 30" size.  Reviews of the 4990 and V700 that I've read
indicate that both are very good, but is the V700 worth the extra
Lens resolution versus pixel density18 Dec 2006 21:55 GMT4
There is alot of acrimony over exactly how much resolution a lens will
support and how many megapixels a camera could be.  So assuming you're
only talking about the centre of the field using
a lens of high quality stopped down what pixel density could it
access to old media cards18 Dec 2006 18:35 GMT3
My first digital camera was an Olympus 460Zoom which used smartmedia
cards.
A few years ago, I purchased a Fuji Finepix 700 which uses sD cards.
I am thinking of giving away the Olympus and ,even though I have all my
Oly 5060W Adapter18 Dec 2006 17:34 GMT2
Anyone connected up this camera to a telescope?  I'm having a bit of a
time figuring out the ideal mechanism for direct connect or eyepiece
projection.  Checked out the astro groups, but can't really find much
regarding the connection.  With the 48.5 mm thread, I suspect a series
Do our eyes point forward?18 Dec 2006 16:45 GMT8
I was just looking, and now I am wondering, do our eyes point forward
(parallel relative to the vertical plane that would pass between them)?
Thanks,
Ron
Correct Nikon NEF exoposure18 Dec 2006 13:03 GMT6
I was taking some shots of a goshawk today using NEF+JPG at ISO 200 on my
D70. The JPG seems correctly exposed, the NEF has the highlights burned out.
I usually shoot at EV -0.33, and JPG Fine Large, but wanted to try to get
maximum image control photographing this bird. ...
Anyone recommend Image Software for Web Sites?18 Dec 2006 12:37 GMT4
Just got a new digital camera and Im looking for some very simple photo
management software for my web site, so I can upload my own images and
share them with family out-of-state using the Web. Ive used desktop
applications but my photos get stuck at home, and I hate using desktop
SOS - magenta face??18 Dec 2006 12:33 GMT2
I am having a somewhat weird problem...
When opening a jpg or raw file in Photoshop Elements 4.0 or Nikon Capture

Difference between xD "H" & "M"?18 Dec 2006 10:24 GMT9
I've just purchased a camera that uses the xD format. It's the Fuji
V10. I went to look for a larger card and saw these two types of
memory. Both say it's compatible with this camera. Can someone please
clarify?
