Somewhere I recall Flickr saying it gleans "Date Taken" from the uploaded photo's EXIF. Tried a couple of things in TP like "Edit ITPC Data", and a couple of properties under the photo itself, but none seem tb the one.

| Upgrading from F707 - to what? | 21 Dec 2006 23:38 GMT | 6 |
I have had my Sony DSC-F707 for 4 1/2 years now (time flies...). Before that I had the F505 and of course the 707 was a great improvement. I have been largely satisfied with it, but the oversaturated reds are a problem as is the noise in low-light conditions. I often publish my ...

| Why Calibrate Your Monitor? | 21 Dec 2006 20:36 GMT | 11 |
The thread on the Spyder got me to wondering, why calibrate your monitor at all? No matter what I do, the picture on the monitor is not going to match the print. The print, for one thing, is not backlit, which seems to me to be a major change right there. And if I am just going ...

| Canon 70-200 and close-ups | 21 Dec 2006 19:46 GMT | 3 |
I have the Sigma Apo DG 70-300 and really like the "macro" facility, eepecially with extension tubes. However I am not so happy with it at maximum telephoto - soft - I mainly do nature photos - birds etc. I am thinking of upgrading to the Canon 70-200 L f4.

Even in the 'blink and you'll miss it' world of compact digital cameras the budget-priced 6x zoom lensed Canon PowerShot A700 was a short-lived model; announced late February and replaced in August by the camera on test here, the PowerShot A710 IS. Aside from a design facelift and a

| I have come back in time to find Tara Conner | 21 Dec 2006 19:00 GMT | 5 |
In the year 2038, long after Skynet goes sentient, a rebel group has been formed. That group is led by the son of the love-child of Ryan Seacrest and Tara Conner. Their progeny was conceived in a coke-gerbil-fueled lovemaking session after Deep Dish house night at a

| Can't focus with Polarizer | 21 Dec 2006 14:38 GMT | 10 |
I attached a Promaster polarizer to my 80-200 zoom at 200mm. I'm not able to obtain clear focus. I can even see this in the viewfinder. I have never seen a filter impact image quality this way! What brand do you recommend? John

| Shopping in Singapore and Hong Kong? | 21 Dec 2006 13:30 GMT | 8 |
I will be visiting both Singapore and Hong Kong (and maybe Japan) early next year and I'm wondering if anyone has any recent experience with shopping for cameras and accessories in those locations? If the savings aren't that substantial, I spend my dollars at home.
